Anybody watched this on itvx? Absolutely shocking documentary. Babies dying and mothers injured in Nottingham, then the usual lie and deny from NHS management.

I didn't watch this but it sounds really familiar (as in a Tele programme about it) was there another one about this? I'm sure I've watched one about it in the past?

Haven't seen it, but I assume it wasn't the managers killing the babies??

It's about the maternity care. The bereaved families formed a pressure group to force the Ockenden review. Amongst many other findings to be implemented on safety and honesty was that mothers should be listened to about choosing a c section. It was noted that many doctors and midwives were imposing their view that a vaginal birth was morally superior.
This is very relevant at this moment when the Greens have stated that they would implement plans to limit rights to a c section or medical intervention in giving birth.

Why are the greens saying that?

I watched it last night. Horrendous, completely heartbreaking. At the very end Sarah Hawkins said that they wanted apologies for gaslighting, victim blaming and cover ups, I think those were the words. And I thought, gosh that's a bit strong, but then she said there is evidence for all of this. She's right, there is.
