Sometimes they get it so right, great scripts which really work for the characters - and then you get a couple of episodes where they seem to have left their laptop open for their kids to have a go. Bonkers

It's a good explanation for this weeks court scenes so far especially Sharon telling the judge to keep quiet. As if you would! lol

Thing is everyone knows Dean is a rapist it was only a matter of time before he admitted it. In doing so he's now shown the court that Linda and the others have a reason for framing him and the case has now been completely thrown.

He'll now be charged with rape and be out in 5 years, whilst the 6 will go on with their pained expressions whilst abandoning those they claim to love every 5 minutes. Sharon can carry on wailing that Keanu was the love of her life, even though her child's father was the other love of her life Phil!

Linda's time must surely be up soon, even Stacey went to prison for murdering Archie eventually, and Chrissie for Den. Murderers tend to get found out.

Nick Cotton is the only character in Eastenders that I can think of who got away with murder (Reg Cox). So it’s not looking good for Linda.

I wonder what would happen in real life if the defendant suddenly admitted to another crime. Would the whole thing be thrown out of court and have to start again with a new jury or something. Interesting to see how it goes. Although I wish they would just conclude this storyline now

I wonder what Linda could be charged with if the full facts were known? She had no intent to kill Keanu, and only attacked him to save Sharon. On the other hand, there's the other five with literal blood on their hands, and the old conspiracy to pervert, etc. Maybe with all the prison overcrowding they'd all be out again by Christmas.

Given that's the important truth, it was a spoiler as far as I can see, I would have been annoyed if I'd seen it before watching the episode.

Of course, the rape admission cuts both ways. As well as supplying a motive for framing Dean, it also points to him being as prone to telling porkies as the defence are making the women out to be.
