That’s a lot of trailer.

I dunno … Seasons 1 and 2 got progressively better and better (despite the imaginative leap propelling us from 1 to 2) but I don’t see what jeopardy there can be now - they’ve already achieved professional success, so presumably the only thing to resolve is their personal lives? It makes the kitchen business less … urgent.

And I’m afraid it might have lost the edginess!

Cannot wait

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 01/06/2024 13:00

I'm wondering if Sydney and Carm will officially "partner" but then professional differences will start to show cracks?

But still looking forward nevertheless. And the music is always great too

The music is always brilliant. Beautifully shot. I can’t wait!

I am so here for this. I just finished my third watch. I hope carmy and Sydney don’t get together, I think the show does brilliantly without any romance between the characters. I just wish I knew more people who had watched it!

AIstolemylunch · 06/06/2024 22:11

When is it on? I loved this.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 06/06/2024 22:48

End of June, got a while yet!

mewkins · 09/06/2024 22:17

I can't wait! I think it will focus on them going for the Michelin star and keeping the restaurant afloat. Family- wise I think there will be a lot of flashbacks and we will establish what happened to Mikey, and the mum (and dad I think). I really like how Ritchie has developed over the two series. I'm rooting for him. And of course the Carmy/claire thing.

imfae · 12/06/2024 19:16

I started watching the first series , but then gave up I think half way through .
I then did go back to it and got really into it and enjoyed the second series too . I liked the development of the characters and how we find out about their pasts .
The acting is great and I can see why it has won various awards . I am also strangely drawn to the main actor - who is not what my usual physical type would be .
Glad to hear that season 3 will be out soon .

Raaraab · 30/06/2024 22:17

Is anyone else watching?

Gruelle · 30/06/2024 22:28

Glad to see I was wrong though - still jeopardy aplenty, and edginess. And a fresh way of storytelling.

Ha! My own thread and I missed the start! What a plonker Grin

As soon as I've done with Palm Royale I'm all over it ...

So just saw the other thread! It's busier so expect there will be more chat there ...

But watched it now and after being unsure to begin with I loved it.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Jamie Lee Curtis was amazing. And so great to see an actress growing old. As in, clearly ageing but she's still fabulous looking.

I enjoyed the backstories which is odd as usually I hate that and find it's just filler but Tina's especially was great.

Great music again.

Some of the cooking and kitchen scenes are almost hypnotic. When they aren't horribly stressful that is.

That awful chef who haunts poor Carmy. So bloody smug.

Will Poulter will forever be the character he played in Narnia Grin

Roll on s4
