a very distant cousin of selling sunset.
it's so dire it's horrendous but i am knee deep in it
rosi from mic is in it.

it's utterly cringeworthy and not an awful lot to do with london as they've been in weybridge and sandbanks but i don't make the rules

Awful isn't it!! Probably will watch tho.

Dontjudgeme101 · 24/05/2024 14:57

I think it’s great. I really enjoyed it.

CrushingOnRubies · 24/05/2024 15:12

It's pretty awful but a decent watch if there's nothing else on and you don't have the head space for anything complicated or dark and just need to chill after work

Lovewine1975 · 24/05/2024 17:14

So many bad reviews for this but I will probably still end up watching it! lol! Is there as much drama and arguing as there is in the others?

EachandEveryone · 24/05/2024 17:55

It’s rubbish and I’m here for it!! I mean do they get paid like on Selling Sunset who just get commission? I don’t think m it’s allowed on here. It’s just not as brash is it? And the properties aren’t that great even though they cost more than Sellingg Sunset.

so, I’ve seen some of the houses before on a different program they just can’t sell them. That property developer has been on another show. The Middle Eastern one that owns half of Mayfair and his Russian hot girlfriend will No doubt be on it soon

GordonBlue · 24/05/2024 21:02

I managed half an hour on a HateWatch basis but couldn't stomach any more.

On the upside, the more people watch it, the bigger Labour's landslide victory will be. We might even have a revolution!

BingoMarieHeeler · 24/05/2024 21:05

I started watching today. I was so confused why some of the shots were so dark 😵‍💫 I get that that houses themselves will be dark - lots of windowless kitchens for example - but thought the producers would remedy that somehow. One of the ladies going ‘it’s so light in this lower-ground floor kitchen’ but they’re literally standing in complete gloom!

The £500m house was amazing though (I wouldn’t want to live there though, not very homey!) and the guy seemed lovely. Wanted to google him but didn’t catch his name!

Olika · 24/05/2024 21:30

Finished watching all episodes and it was relaxing. Rubbish though.

Coldbit · 24/05/2024 21:59

I'd been hoping for some fab property porn but I think most of the houses are awful. Boss Daniel seems quite normal and grounded but he has clearly employed some utter loons.

EachandEveryone · 24/05/2024 22:15

Hes in his forties and seems lovely. At least hes not a cliche like those twins😃

CrushingOnRubies · 24/05/2024 23:40

I've been following Daniel Daggers for a while and he comes across as fairly down to earth nice guy.

Does anyone read the Sunday Times property section? One of the people in the office writes a column but it's anonymous wonder who it is🤔🕵️‍♂️

It's John Cauldwell, he's originally from Stoke and founded Phones4U

Wendysfriend · 25/05/2024 11:51

Just started it only on episode 2 now. It's clear they're trying to copy Selling Sunset, the interior designer one 😮😮😮 what is she like, flirting with your man in front of his wife, I despise people like that, and her lips 😂😂😂 Sweet baby Jesus .

I don't like the properties 😔 I prefer the American ones, I was sitting here thinking I'd seen some of these properties before, as poster above mentioned they've been on other programmes, I've watched that many I can't remember which one.

EachandEveryone · 25/05/2024 12:32

They clearly can’t sell them

Somepeoplearesnippy · 25/05/2024 16:35

'And the properties aren’t that great even though they cost more than Sellingg Sunset'

i read somewhere that when they wanted to do a RH franchise in the U.K. the original plan was to do one in London. However when Bravo looked into it they realised that a 50m property in central London doesn't actually look very impressive compared to the houses and apartments elsewhere so they relocated to Cheshire where they have nice country mansions.

However that being said, a lot of the NY properties weren't very big despite costing loads. Carole's apartment was tiny and so were Bethennys earlier homes.

Whatsmyusername1235 · 26/05/2024 13:49

Saw this last night and yeah it was terrible.
so much bitching and it just felt really fake

Davros · 26/05/2024 14:32

I'm looking forward to this. Now that the Fortune Hotel has finished, I need some entertaining filler

Bambooshoot · 26/05/2024 17:19

It seems obvious that Lauren was banging her boss and they’re both so cross that other people noticed. Then the whole staged nonsense with the ex male model and the weirdly puffy faced girl - such awkward scripting, would anyone even want to date a man so self delusional, let alone marry them?

It made zero sense for Daniel to stop Rasa (the most beautiful agent, since he seems to like showcasing his staff) going to Dubai when she had contacts there and had just organised a very successful event in London proving how many clients she could bring in - was it spite, or really just so he could bang Lauren again in peace? Non of this show actually depicts how a business should function.

tennissquare · 28/05/2024 19:30

This is very watchable and very set up!
Mentioned by Richard Osman and Marina Hyde on the rest is entertainment podcast today.

Colinthedaxi · 30/05/2024 20:05

Yes! He is greasy and weasely (no offence to weasels who are beautiful creatures). What is the appeal?

Davros · 01/06/2024 23:02

I'm on episode 2. The decor in these houses, awful! Nit that I'd say no if someone gave me the keys for nowt

Panicmode1 · 02/06/2024 14:52

It's next on my list of trash TV to watch...I did some time as a buying agent for HNWI in London (bought a couple +£40m houses for clients) so will be interesting to watch.

Am currently binging The Parisian Agency first....some of the things they show are mind-blowing, including Mel Gibson's house in Costa Rica!

Davros · 02/06/2024 15:48

Parisian Agency you say? Which channel?

Panicmode1 · 02/06/2024 16:04

Netflix...I think this is Season 4 so it would keep one busy!

You can watch a dubbed version or have the subtitles on...Daniel Daggers appears in one episode actually (in season 3 I think...)
