What do I watch after 1923?

I know that Yellowstone is the answer but I’m two episodes in and it just isn’t hitting the same spot that 1883 and 1923 did! I’m missing the grittiness of pioneering family drama, does anyone have any suggestions please? I’ve also seen The English which I loved as well.

Tulsa King, is good. Rabbit Hole, The Burning Girls. Boardwalk Empire on Sky Boxsets is brilliant. Just to name a few. Yellowstone was brilliant once you get into it 😄

I agree with previous poster that you have to stick with Yellowstone for the first few episodes!

💯 stuck with Yellowstone. You’ll be hooked before the end of season 1. It only gets better 😉

Taylor Sheridan also writes (and are great but different genres)
Tulsa King
lioness
Mayor of Kingstown

Other dramas I’ve loved recently which are ‘hooky’
Godfather of Harlem (Prime)
Succession (Sky)

I enjoyed Lawman Bass Reeves

Thanks all, I’m planning on sticking with Yellowstone as well, I think I’m just missing a period drama at the moment! I’ll have a look through all of your suggestions :)

I’d recommend’The Gilded Age’ as a great period drama. Set in NYC.

Oh I loved The Gilded Age! Really hoping for another series, really loved the wit and quick dialogue.

The Son ITVX with Pierce Brosnan who is a greedy, wealthy landowner. Flashbacks to his Comanche upbringing, feuds with Mexican neighbours, family life dramas. Cattle, oil, settlers and Indians. Similar vein to the Yellowstone prequels and very gripping.
Brosnan's accent slips a little but he's very good in the role. Two seasons to enjoy!

Have a look at Lonesome Dove. It’s from 1989 and absolutely fantastic.
