I think the right person went home this week. That room was not only completely impractical but the all white theme gave me heavens waiting room vibes. And I hated the bathroom, it looked better before! I think if Matt had added some colour and texture to his room he could have won stand out space so I'll be interested to see what he does next week as he always seems really keen to listen to and act on the feedback. I liked Roisins but it is starting to feel a bit samey with her. I did feel chuffed for her though as she seems like a sweet person and is quite humble and genuinely seems unexpectedly thrilled about doing so well. It really gets my back up when the designers big themselves up too much, especially when they don't really have the skills to warrant it - looking at you Ben and Hannah.

Bens room didn’t work, he is simply very theatrical, one dimensional almost, and he really needs a partner to tone it down and add depth.

matt screwed up by using the same sofas. They were to dark and functional . If he had added some beautiful chairs, even recovered them in velvet, coppers and greens, to add some softness he may have done it.

roisin I think is taking the feedback on board each week and trying really hard to adjust. The shop was a great example. She can tone it down and do elegant if she wants, she simply lacks confidence in it as it’s not her style. The wallpaper in the shop was a triumph. But she was so uncertain and thought she may have screwed up.

Matt’s room just needed a few extra touches. Some throws, candles, something like that.

Roisin got to have some fun with that one and really bring her style to the fore. Matt’s was quiet lux but in a much more architectural way. Some suede or sheepskins or anything to add texture would have nailed it.

They’re both so different, it should be a close run final.

Not only was Ben's really impractical, but the budget just wasn't sufficient to do an all white pallette. You can't do cheap white fabrics without them looking really flat and that came across in the upholstery. What's annoying is he didn't even stick to his design inspiration - if you looked at the source photos there was contrast even with the predominantly white scheme.

Just seen on Matts Instagram he shared a star (not sure who as I am too old to know the names of these new stars) doing a few selfies in the dressing room he designed.

Roisin has chosen Jess (and they both seem to have come dressed as CBeebies presenters) and Matt has chosen Anthony to work with.

On paper, we know who are the stronger couple, but will it go the way we think?

Glad the lovely Anthony will be back - I suspected he would be.

I'd have picked Anthony too. Jess is probably a good pick. She seemed to do a lot, even if what she did wasn't great.

I knew Matt would pick Anthony. My DDs are big fans of Jess so will be happy to see her back.

I was going to buy some goodies to enjoy the final with but I've been so busy and all we have are my daughters peppa pig ice lollies. Beggars can't be choosers I guess 😂

We have grapes and bitsa whispa and I have a bottle of white wine for meeee. (I let all three of my monsters stay up to watch this with me as DH is out on a Tuesday. They'll be sad it's over this week.)
