My ds's are messed up enough by it being still light when they go to bed let alone their night time tele being messed about with too !!

I know, was confused myself for a minute, my dd is 2, and was looking very thoughtful she knew something was missing, but what can you do?

dontwanttogetoutofbed · 31/03/2008 23:00

switch to babytv its always calm

gingeme · 01/04/2008 11:02

My ds3 is too old for baby tv. He says its rubbishBring back In The Night Garden

night garden is gone??

LilyMunster · 01/04/2008 11:04

crack out the NG dvds i guess

gingeme · 01/04/2008 11:07

Yeah but its not the same is it? They can watch that any time. We had a real little routine going on at bed time now its all gone to pot. We had the 'why do I have to go to bed when its still day time speach?' last night too.
I remember thinking exactly the same thing when I was 4

They keep changing it. It used to be Fimbles then 64 Zoo Lane, then Storymakers. I quite like the new bedtime hour (though do miss ITNG - but it will be back!). Happy to have Charlie and Lola back.

NorthernLurker · 01/04/2008 11:10

I don't think Charlie and Lola are as soothing as the Night Garden though. I do love them - just don't think they're as sleep inducing

gingeme · 01/04/2008 20:29

Charlie and Lola rock Can't wait for the new series. Night Garden is on in the day at some time but its ot quite the same is it?

fingerwoman · 01/04/2008 20:41

well, they can't just keep on repeating and repeating and repeating the same old crap can they?
it has to change sometimes.

if your kids are that obsessed with ITNG, then get a dvd and let them watch that every night surely???

Yes ok thankyou fingerwoman. I take it your not a fan then? (runs off cowering in to the corner)

I'm sorry but that rubbish 64, 64, 64, 64 Zoo Lane and the other stuff is NO replacement for ITNG. Horrible, boring 2D animation instead of fabulous 3D characters and weird music and the bliddy TITTIFERS. My dd is confused, upset and PISSED OFF...

Well, for the first night anyway. She's ok now actually.

But I miss it.

gingeme · 01/04/2008 20:57

And so say all of us

ds3 and I love singing the theme tune. I keep getting it wrong on purpose and he always corrects me

Agree with hatrick!!

Not all cbeebies viewers are 3 years old btw

(and wishes that the bedtime hour really was the bedtime hour)

rantingwageslave · 01/04/2008 21:08

Hatrick I love 64 Zoo lane too, loathe Charlie and Lola though. Really loathe it.

gingeme · 01/04/2008 21:10

Talking of changes has anyone noticed Ninas new wheels? A lovely shiny red Mini Metro. Wonder why she changed from her van!

am just a bit by all the people who seem to think it's a terrible tragedy that a different program might be shown.

liath · 01/04/2008 21:11

Dd wanted to know why ITNG wasn't on any more so I told her it was because the people at cbeebies are gits. She seemed happy enough with that explanation and the ITNG DVD that I hurredly bought at sainsbury's.....

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/04/2008 21:13

Cbeebies explanation for the change is given on this thread from last week.

gingeme · 01/04/2008 21:13

Not a tragedy as such just wished they had warned us . All for a change. It is after all as good as a rest as they say.
