Am I alone in disliking the Andrex advert?

Okay, so everyone farts and poos. But I still think the advert is gross and weird. The woman is about to go for a shit and everyone in her office is watching her walk to the bog with bog roll in her hand. And to top it off, she decides to take a book into the toilet to read while she has a crap. The idea of reading magazines or books on the toilet is gross 🤢 🤢

I’m with you, it’s absolutely gross and as per usual it’s a woman representing the product , like constipation/diarrhoea/gum disease/digestive issue products, they never use a man to advertise unseemly bodily functions. Really annoys me.

Just had a look, it's a bit odd and doesn't translate well to the work setting. I see what they're going for, moving away from coy shots of puppies but I'm not sure why she's brought her own bog roll to work (does anyone do that??) or the whole office is staring.

There seems to be one with a man in too but I didn't really get it tbh, only saw it on a tiny screen tho.

Isn't it that she farts and then owns it? The taking a book in is just taking the piss out of male colleagues who used to tuck a newspaper under their arm while going to the loo. You're talking about it so job (no pun) done for Andrex. But I thought the Pot Noodle advert was funny as well.

Agree. I mean can't we keep these things dignified? I hate that absolutely everything is up for discussion/for laughs. No decorum, bloody advertising.

Oh I hate that advert. Do Andrex really think we don't know what toilet paper is used for? That we actually need to watch someone farting then going for a shit? What next a close up of an actual turd plopping into a toilet bowl. And no I actually don't think that farting loudly and then stinking out the office with the smell of shit should be "encouraged" or "welcomed" thanks

I haven't seen the advert so can't comment on that but what is remotely gross about reading? What about scrolling on your phone?

I quite like it, she holds her head up high and walks to the loo with no shame, after all we all poo!

I used to have a pile of books beside the loo. Which then upgraded to kindle and now phone. I have ibs so can be in there for a while and need something to do.

Yuck , I hate this ad ,who needs to watch this , I know they have a product to sell but as a PP said we all know what loo roll is for .
I'm really glad that Pot Noodle have been forced to amend their horrible slurping ad.

Talking of the pot noodle advert there was a competition type thing to win compensation from it.

Hi, I worked out that she has her pet dog in secret at work (his under the desk) the dog makes a smell , so she has to pretend it’s her & so goes to the toilet …I might be wrong lol

Well there’s an Andrex advert now with a man emerging from a cubicle with a roll of toilet paper then shuffle dancing his way to the sinks. The advert is hideous too. But it is a man.

I haven't seen this but have always found Andrex ads terrible. Using dogs - which in my mind are inextricably linked with shit? I can see the connection but what an odd way to advertise your product. And it's overpriced, no doubt to pay for said ads.

I know this is about the Andrex adverts (which I also don’t like) but one I really don’t like is the one for the airup water bottle and the woman is on the toilet and she puts her airup on the disgusting toilet floor

Who sniffs a toilet roll in a public toilet? I don't want to see, or even think about men's toilets. Those shoes he's wearing are very dubious.

It certainly won't persuade me to buy their v expensive toilet rolls.

They wouldn't be so bad, the fact those two are so smug makes the adverts so hideous. Just became so desperate guy is letting her sit on his shoulders she thinks she's queen of the MILFs.
