She seems much more relaxed and is being quite charming to the Spanish people who are featuring

I think she is the kind of person that grows on you

She is well into her Spanish cuisine and traditions but you would be hard pushed to order any of that in a restaurant.

Carmenere · 27/03/2008 21:15

She was a bit ott with the incessant superlatives but she definitely has a passion for the food which comes shining through.
In fairness a lot of Spanish food is home cooking style, even the stuff you get in traditional restaurants.
I'm not sure what her trigger-happy sidekick is doing there though. Mind you he is an excellent shot.

I'm not.

I can't bear her voice.

the series is far better than the last one where her 'friend' kept flashing his backside on their vegetable oil fuelled/swap shop swoop on the poor farmers of Great Britain. It was all rather patronising.

I'm quite liking Spanish Thomasina though

I always liked her .. i loved her on "the wild gourmets"... a beautifully filmed series with a very gentle tone...glad the really relaxed attitude still there.... even last week when the Spanish omelette went to the floor when they were turning it!

Carmenere her side kick did a fab documentary living allone in the alaskan wilderness for the best part of a year, did you see that? He also has 2 gorgeous sons , a lovely wife, a crazy Italia mother and a lovely farm on one of the scottish Isles! And taught me how to kill a fish when poachingin a loch

Oh interesting COV. He is a fabulous shot, very, very accurate, did you see the way he picked off those quails and he got the boar right through the heart.
Surprised to hear he is married, I did wonder about the vibe between them...

He also sailed a yacht for some rich bloke from the UK to the Bahamas with his wife and boys a couple of years ago, and was planning a documentary riding horse (with wife prior to children) to follow the route of the Crusaders, but the funding fell through. He is the loveliest guy (excuse the pun ) you could ever meet.
