I find her vacuous and dull. I think she really wants someone who is the same- attractive, flat, sounds good but lacks any real depth or character. She won't stay to see this through with Tristan- he's not what she's here for.

I thought I was the only one who thought Cass was vacuous and dull. I rarely see much of a spark in her, in fact the only time I saw depth and character was on/before her wedding day when she was talking about her mum and her partner who passed away. All the time with Tris it was very wishy washy constantly complaining about his lack of affection (maybe it's the way it was edited) but Tris I think is emotionally damaged, not ND or gay and I just think he doesn't know how to deal with a strong character like Cass.

PointerParty · 27/03/2024 11:45

I feel bad asking this because I really like Lauren, but do we think she's had more work done in the last week or two? She looks quite different?

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 27/03/2024 11:52

So Tim the Elder. I feel really bad for saying this (I know a spoiler about him too but can't say here), but if his father is saying he didn't like him, is this because he behaved badly to his father, and did he behave badly to his father after both his mum and brother's deaths when he was in his 30s? Or was his father just a nasty idiot? Because some of his behaviour now, if I had to put up with that, from a relative of mine, I would probably go along the lines of not liking them much either, especially if they didn't work on the issues.

Catlord · 27/03/2024 11:52

Is Cass vacuous? I would feel at a loss in her shoes. His issues are way beyond her experience and need a trained therapist to unlock, not just an understanding girlfriend. She's tried approaching him physically and been knocked back. She can't keep doing that. I don't think we've actually seen much of her, it's been all about Tristan's blockers. I think Natalie would have been a much better match (in another year) they could have thrown themselves into the LARPing and built common ground that way.

She has had lots of work done and probably in the last week or two.

On another topic, I think Tim the Elder loves to be 'the expert (ixpert?)' and very much in people's faces, getting gossip, shit stirring. I mean makes for great TV but not a nice character trait.

Cass looks vacuous to me.

In most of her scenes where she's filmed she only has a few expressions and doesn't seem that fussed about much. She's also a Gold Coast influencer.

I do agree that Tris has lots of issues to unlock but he's trying to work through them and to improve himself.

I think so, her eyes look like they are too big for her sockets (sideways)

PointerParty · 27/03/2024 13:12

It looks like she's had a lot filler around her eyes and over her cheekbones.

Tim the elder... how many times can one person say "thrown under the bus"?? Lucinda's Dad is brilliant! I want to see more of him on the show!

@PointerParty

Yes - as Lucinda's dad would say "BORING!!"

Also I thought Timothy was angry enough to explode - he was even chewing angry. Hard mouth, and the grooves at each side of his head working away with each bite. I really wouldn't want to have any dealings with someone who could explode at any moment- and needed to be prompted by his friends to reciprocate an apology. 🌹

I think Lea seems far too clever to make it about taking sides. She's taking a subtle and supportive approach whilst not buying a single ounce of Jack's fuckery. My DP picked up that the chocolates were a sneer at her weight.

Not convinced Tori isn't sucked in. Would she really have got a fairly large ugly tattoo if she was just playing tactically for whatever outcome?

I was surprised Eden's dad didn't take him to task at all for the weird sex revenge thing. I mean, my dad would rather skip the country than discuss sex with a SIL but surprised it wasn't set up by production.

Lucinda's dad was ace. Mum very quiet though. His friends very caring and close to say he feels so isolated in life. That was interesting.

Tori was quite amused about the tattoo...something like 'well he won't be able to forget about me now'. The way she said it suggested that there may be some interesting things to come. My money is on her towing the line right through to the end and then dumping him at the final commitment ceremony.

I’ve just remembered the tiny bottle of champagne that Jacob offered Lea! Do you think he was expecting them all to share!

RancidRuby · 27/03/2024 15:31

The tiny champagne bottle was hilarious, and then he picked up his protein shake container and decanted it into his wine glass!

JellyBeanFactory · 27/03/2024 15:37

Champagne bottle offered by Jac(kn)ob - what the heck was that all about?

Loved Lucinda's Dad - Tom the Elder needed a good talking to.

I'd forgotten about Tim the Youngers "best" man. Will be more uncomfortable viewing.

JellyBeanFactory · 27/03/2024 15:37

*Tim

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 27/03/2024 17:29

I assumed the tiny bottle of champagne was so he looked impressive offering champagne as a drink but had gone for the cheapest way of achieving this.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 27/03/2024 17:49

I’m catching up with last night. It struck me as I watched Jack (bleurgh) and Tori (also bleurgh) meeting with Lea (LOVE) that Jack would give no fucks about Lea’s opinion because she’s not only a woman, but she’s an overweight woman (personally think she’s gorgeous but I’m sure that’s what he’ll reduce her to in his head) and that opinion was cemented when he gave her chocolates to get her on side. He is so contrived and just awful.

Glad that Lea wasn’t fooled by him. Tori on the other hand, it’s difficult to feel sympathy with her. She is wilfully blind.

awaynboilyurheid · 27/03/2024 18:13

Tris is not working hard to improve himself, he’s batting for the other team and trying his best to hide it, with witty trivial remarks and gay, in the old sense, laughter.
Another one who loves Lucinda’s dad, what a miserable expletive deleted person old Tim is! Why is he continuing on wasting her time.

Hope Ben is never found …

Unfortunately Ben IS found and to add insult he comes along with an acoustic guitar and a song to woo his wife🙄😂 (well we assume it’s to woo her going by the clip yesterday)

Speaking of which there is SO much booze on the show! I suppose getting everyone drunk is a good way to guarantee drama, but I'm highly suggestible and find myself craving a glass of wine when I'm watching 🤦‍♀️

JellyBeanFactory · 27/03/2024 18:36

One thing that got me wondering - they often talk about "got some nice things planned for the weekend", "had a lovely date last weekend" etc. Tim the Younger had his dates cancelled three weekends on the trot, which caused so many issues.

So do they only go out at the weekend? What do they do 7-nights a week? Do those that can, work from home/online?

I always thought they gave everything up to live/breathe together in Sydney 24/7 but it sounds like they all do their own thing in between dinner party (one evening), commitment ceremony (the next day) and "the weekend".

Tristan is as autistic as they come, you can tell by his eye contact which is way off when he's anxious (most of the time), not to mention his complete lack of knowing how to be affectionate. He's trying to please but way out of his depth and it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't like touch and may even be asexual. He reminds me a bit of my son.

Tori and Jack getting tattoos was absolutely ridiculous. I don't understand what she is thinking. It's obvious he's just playing some sort of game and is very confident she'll just back him no matter what.

Timothy doesn't want to have sex with Lucinda because he's not attracted to her. I don't know why they're still going to be honest. I think he wanted a 23 year old and instead he got someone his own age who talks through her nose in a very off putting way. He knows she's very nice and what he should want - but he doesn't so it's dead in the water IMO.

Ash is really worrying, she should definitely not be on the show. I don't think she's a medium for one minute, I think she's got quite serious mental health problems and it was very irresponsible of the producers to have her on there. I feel really sorry for Ash, he just wanted someone nice and normal and had good potential i think.

Jonno is a wet lettuce and seems to be in the cult of Jack and Tori. Lauren is strong and right about a lot of things but also slightly scary and a lot - in an ADHD sort of way.

dapsnotplimsolls · 27/03/2024 19:31

Ok - here's a dilemma for you all. Jack, Ben or that Best Man?

Bluetrews25 · 27/03/2024 19:31

Oooh Ben please

Bluetrews25 · 27/03/2024 19:32

That song is going to be crappingly awful
I'd forgotten about Tim's best man speech. Cringe.
