Is the show any good ? been recommended by a friend and thought id see mumsnetters views on the show

Yes - the original BBC one looks dated but it is still entirely watchable and feels relevant, and the dialogue hasn’t dated much at all. I re-watched it quite recently.

Haven't watched the KS one as I thought it might be too "Hollywood"?

I haven't seen the US version but the UK version (all 3 series) is excellent.

I didn't get round to watching it at the time but finally caught up with it last year. Odd bits are slightly dated but nothing important. The acting and writing are both top notch.
