It's on late Wednesday evenings bbc one and on I player . Only seen episode one.
Lucia Keskin ( Chi) is one to watch I think , her character reminds me of Kerry Mucklow in 'This country '. A stay at home daughter who hasn't a clue about anything.
Totally bonkers, but it did make me laugh.

It's absolute rubbish, not clever funny or engaging. Not sure what's going on with BBC Things you should have done, Newark Newark and Dodger are all appalling.

I'm watching this at the moment with my DH and we are loving it! The comedy reminds me a little of 'Stath Lets Flats' and 'The Mighty Boosh', though it's got its own quirky individuality.

Some of the characters are so sweet and lovable, especially Chi and Lucas, you end up really liking them and caring about what happens to them. Just watched episode 5 and it's so funny we were actually laughing out loud.

Only one episode left to watch and I'm saving it up cos I will be sad when it ends. Hopefully there will be a second series!

I loved it too, especially the way the utterly bizarre conversations develop. She is like a young Diane Morgan. I am impressed she has written this herself when she is just 23.

I love it, i have a SIL who is almost exactly like Chi, a stay at home daughter.

I sadly can identify with Karen on some level (infertility, uptight, having to deal with the repercussions though not money grubbing and feeling entitled to the family home). And my dh isn't a conspiracy theorist and I would never be so mean to a stepson if i had one. It makes me feel like maybe its not so unusual but a symptom of post austerity uk and lack of opportunities for its young people.

I find this so funny while i disliked this country. Maybe its the urban/rural divide. I am in London and my stay at home SIL is also a Londoner. Chi is in Kent so i guess much more similar lifestyle?

Lucia is one to watch I think , but having watched all of them now there were a few parallels with ' Mum' and some other similar comedy dramas , so you could see where she had her influences from. Some of the other characters were funny , especially Gary the driving instructor and Lucas.
DS 2 is mid 20s and saving hard to buy a place. I mentioned he'd also need to factor in solicitor fees etc and he said ' do I need one?' Which made me realize how little younger folk know about things sometimes and all of it is online to look up and very accessible.
(Although he does know you have to pay for energy bills and water ! 😂 )

Lucia is pretty hopeless but also just a lost girl who misses her mum and dad. My favourite episode was Pancake Day as it really portrayed silly things that families do together that other people - in this case Auntie Karen - don't get, especially Lucia singing the Monk song with her dad on the phone - completely bonkers. The scene at the end with all the cups of teas was heartbreaking too, especially when Karen finally does get it.

I've lived this series. Some brilliant writing and great performances. Looking forward to seeing more from her.

I loved this, I thought it was so weird and funny with an underlying sweetness.

I like it, though the stranded daughter left flailing after bereavement plot might apply to millennials much more than a youngun like 23 year old keskin
