Hotel Babylon : where has Max Beesley gone??

I missed last week. Where has he gone and why? Saw the house keeper kill the sleezy man by accident - has she gone too???

ooh tis quite complicated but will tell you what I can remember. There was a diamond auction in the hotel. There was a "friend" of the hotel staying and offered Charlie a job to work with him buying and selling diamonds, which he decided to take. The other lady left she accidently killed the sleazy man that was collection money that charlie had borrowed from his boss (he borrowed money from a loan shark cos payroll hadnt paid any of the house keeping staff and couldnt pay the loan back in time)
I think thats everything.
