Am loving these brits etc taking over these lavish run down 50 room properties

some couples have really got it together

I want to holiday in most of them just fantastic

I’m also fascinated. Some of them aren’t spring chickens anymore and the properties look like money pits! I wouldn’t have the nerve to plough our life savings into it.

Yes, one of my fave programmes at the moment. I'm in awe at some of the projects they've taken on, as a lot of them need to be completely gutted and they're often not small properties.

They do tend to cause themselves stress tho by booking in 'first guests' long before they've got the property ready. I guess I'm equally surprised by people who would book to stay somewhere that's undergoing renovation.

I love this programme and dream of finding my own chateau to renovate. The reality is that I'm struggling to keep on top of my 1930s semi 😂

I think a lot of the "first guests" they talk about are family or friends.
