Hate the often unnecessary side plots in some shows, sometimes it’s nothing to do with the actual story & is annoying in that they could have devoted more time to the main characters & storyline. I get they might use it for an insight into the characters but sometimes it does nothing to progress the story. Often happens in crime dramas, why do family members have to get involved in ongoing investigations??
