We just watched Criminal Record. It was eight episodes which gave it a lot time to be very very suspenseful.

Scott and Bailey on Britbox.

We've been watching Trial and Retribution on ITVx (I think!), older but very engrossing. Though I'm slightly discombobulated by the changes in the main male character.

The Victim - one if the best short crime series I've ever seen.

Five - the best Harlan Coben short series.

Thanks some great ideas loved unforgotten broad church and LOD was thinking kin and criminal record started Annika and Shetland and didn’t get gripped need to try again !

Love/Hate on ITVX? Irish rather than British.

First series of Love/Hate is a bit wobbly, but it improves a lot after that.

Also 'Blue Lights' on the BBC.

Grantchester. I've only watched the ones with James Norton in. Can highly recommend.

It's a good few years since watched it but Whitechapel was really good.

(both ITV I think).

We also watched Love and Death after it was recommended on here - another psychological thriller type thing, also good.

Oh sorry - Love and Death wasn't British.

Van der Valk is good too - British actors but set in Amsterdam.
