Thanks for the heads up. I will watch.

I saw Sofie live on stage in one of the James Plays. She was great.

Looks good! Shame it’s only 4 episodes!

PastorCarrBonarra · 25/02/2024 09:50

Thanks for this! I might watch it later (am housebound wuth a horrible cold).

Well that was grim and depressing.

Do you think it is based on / adaptation of the BBC series Time.

Some of the plot, in fact the overall situation seemed quite similar.

Have only watched 2 episodes and will wait for the next 2.

ie I think it was good, but not sure I want to binge watch as covers quite sad and difficult situations.

I haven't watched it yet, but I think I got it wrong and there are actually 6 episodes.

I’m halfway through and it’s very well done- but not enjoyable as such as it’s so grim! The acting is so good and I’m very invested in it. Just wish there was a glimmer of hope somewhere.

it does remind me of Time which was wonderful, and I’m wondering if it can add anything to that.

bombastix · 03/03/2024 23:19

I was quite excited until all the grim and depressing comments. I mean how bad is it compared to your not exactly cheery average Scandi Noir?

duc748 · 03/03/2024 23:19

I watched the first ep of Time, and although I thought it was well done enough, it didn't encourage me to watch any more. So maybe this isn't for me. I did like Oz, though.

Xmasbaby11 · 04/03/2024 21:04

It’s very violent. And the prison wardens have difficult home lives, so it’s all fairly dark and I doubt any happy endings.

Halsall · 05/03/2024 21:06

We watched 4, and tbh we felt too depressed to watch any more!

I enjoyed this, but I like quite “dark dramas”. I have watched it all and I think it is worth pursuing. With a prison drama there is rarely a happy ending but without giving anything away, I think it’s more about being at peace (or not) with the choices that are made and the consequences .

Keep going!

It was a bit too dark for me.

Have seen Sofie Grabol in a couple of films and excellent in both.
