Anyone fancy a watch thread? Episode 1 is very captivating!

I noticed that and wasn't going to watch as the plot sounded very similar to something I watched recently.

But do like good sci fi

Are all episodes available or is it going to be one episode released each week?

Have now watched the first two episodes and think it is (so far!) really good.

Impressed by the CGI (I think that's what it's called) that create the sense of being in space etc..

Have only just seen that the lead actress is the star of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo films. Very different. But good.

Will certainly keep on watching.

I’ve watch the first three now and loving it although my head massively hurts trying to understand it 😂

I've now watched episode 3 and am still finding really interesting, but somehow I feel quite detatched, but intrigued.

But am really cross with myself as I had found out only the first 3 episodes are available, and because I struggle with remembering plots and faces, I was going to wait to watch it until all episodes were online.

Whenever I watch week by week I spend the first half of each new episodes trying to remember everybody. Sigh. But only myself to blame.

But I do want to find out what happens. Maybe I should watch the tailend of the last episode to sort of jolt myself back into the world of series.

Saw episodes 1 to 3.

It's certainly a trend in a number of series, that or parallel times line that characters slip in and out of.

I watched the latest episode last night.

Am still finding it interesting but it does have echoes of other shows.

But still want to find out how they wrap this up!

Really enjoying this! Believable and I like the way they hint at wrongness without shovelling it on too obviously.
Intrigued to see where it will go.

I watched the lastest episode last night and think that the clue to the plot was described by the women who with her brother has been recording radio messages to and from space missions.

Something about matter being changed and could be 2 things as the same time.

Well that's how I responded at the time.

We know there are 2 Henrys and 2 daughters. Does that mean there are 2 Jos and at some point will meet?

No wonder those running the space missions want to make people think they are mad rather than that going into space means it changes reality / previous lived experience.

I am quite prepared to be proved wrong by the end of the series!

Oh dear - I have no memory of either of those scenarios. Was it early on in the series or in last nights.

It could be that at first I didn't grasp what was going on and maybe thought they were just showing scenes out of sequence.

Yeah the scenes out of sequence are a but weird but looks like they've caught up now. The funeral Alice saw I think was number 4 last week, Jo seeing Paul was early on either the first or second episode. It was around when the crew were still being debriefed.

I watched the latest episode last night and now that (thanks to this thread!) have a better understanding of what is going on, found it sort of dragged.

ie seeing the same scenes but from the other reality took up a lot of time.

However I think we are now at the point where we meet.

But I have a real problem which is that my free 3 months sub offer runs out the day before the final episode on 27th - I suppose I will have to pay for an extra month so as to watch it ...

Probably worth it when I think back to what I used to pay (some years ago) to hire a video for an evening!

well after watching today’s ep I have no idea how this will wrap up. My Money is on another series….

Have now watched the second to last episode and can only think it will have to end with live Jo also having to die. But then that leaves the 2 Alices and the 2 Magnus.

So maybe they will have to fall back on the famous it was all a dream!

But yes, maybe a series 2, with 2 different realities and the 2 Alices passing messages via old tape recorder.

I am none the wiser after this week’s ep. This is even more of a headfuck than Severance 😂

This is possibly the best series I've ever watched. It's doing my head in but I'm utterly gripped.

Well I watched the last episode last night and am disappointed.

I liked that the Alice who is with the living Jo was so mature(?) in reconciling herself to the situation and sort of helped the living Jo come to terms with her situation. (By the way I thought the 2 Alices were played by the same person but in fact they are 2 different young actresses - presumably twins!)

Did the 2 Henrys somehow swop places and this is why the Henry who had become a sort of down and out was able to pretend to be the public figure Hnery so as destroy the machine taken into space?

Or did the public figure Henry have a change of conscience because the machine was or had created some of the problems. (Never understood what it was meant to do. Didn't it somehow capture an image of 2 realities existing side by side? And if so for what purpsoe)

Also dont understand if for everyone else who found they had a doppleganger but was never ever together with them, how come the 2 versions of an early astronaut where together in the same room. (Very harsh to make them be side by side all the time. No wonder they were crying out. Not nice.)

Despite my moan above, the fact that I have had to pay a whole months subscription to watch this one episode, I'm okay with that.

Hmm loose ends yes. When Paul woke up in the hospital he looked at both his arms like he was surprised he had both. But the other Paul who lost an arm was dead so surely he couldn't switch back. Alice called Jo Mamma at the end not Mummy but was this because she was accepting her that she wasn't her Mummy but is all she has? Yes Henry/Bud switched back but I don't know how. I think maybe it was only Jo and the first man in space who could see the two of them.

I was bothered by the last shot - Jo resurrected but evil? I don't want it to be silly and supernatural.
Yes I think Henry/Bud swapped back somehow. It also looked as if Paul had.
I loved the subtle differences between her husband (name??!!) in the two universes. And Alice was amazing, both of her!
