Its the last episode of this crime drama on Apple TV next week.

I wondered it anyone else has been watching and what you think.

Find Cush Jumbo really convincing and occassionally irritating.

Have had problems with Peter Capaldi's characters, but obviously central to the plot!

I think episodes already shown are still available https://tv.apple.com/gb/show/criminal-record/umc.cmc.1sbjeoma6tvxgda6l0h4bb0x3

I've started this thread as I really need help understanding the last episode, ie shown earlier this week.

(NB spoilers for anyone thinking of starting to watch this)

So this last episode was mainly an explanation of how the investigation into the stabbing of a woman took place, and why the person arrested was assumed to be the perpetrator and was now convicted and in prison.

Or was it meant to be some sort of excuse for the contrived prosecution because Hegarty was overwhelmed by personal problems and didn't have the energy to get his team to behave professionally, ie was it meant to make us feel sympathy towards him.

Or did it in fact show that he willingly trapped the convicted killer into a confession, or that even though he was underhand the convicted killer really was the killer.

I suppose the point was as the second to last episode it was meant to be left unclear to get viewers to watch the final episode!!

How strange, I searched and nothing came up to show there was a thread about this series.

If I'd known I'd have joined it as had found some of it obscure!

In fact I was quite disappointed by the ending.

But suspect that it was to leave the way open for a second series.

We watched it and enjoyed the first few episodes, but watched the last today and DH said have we missed an episode, I said no, but watched the end and yes, it was a bit disappointing and ended as expected.

Just started watching this and gripped! I have skipped comments above in case of spoilers!

Ah the twist in the tale! I thought Peter Capaldi was riveting in this role.
