Cosy, British dramas

Can anyone recommend any cosy, British dramas to watch please? Or a comedy would do too.

We’ve watched & enjoyed things like Downton, The Crown, all the Harlen Coben’s bar the most recent one (is it any good?!), Last Tango in Halifax, It’s A Sin etc. Comedy-wise we love Big Boys, Gavin & Stacey, Two Doors Down etc.

Thank you!

Making notes here! Thank you

Victoria and Upstairs Downstairs were good. I also liked The Royal and Belgravia and if you like Julian Fellowes and Downton Abbey you might also like The Gilded Age even though that one is set in New York.

Nowtbettertodo · 04/02/2024 17:44

The A word I was late too it and binged it. It's really good

Life on mars, ashes to ashes, endeavour, all creatures great and small (channel 5), call the midwife, Jonathan creek, maybe silent witness as though it’s not that cosy the early
series’ in particular were great tv.

Oh, I'm so jealous. 😂 It's true comfort food comedy.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/02/2024 18:08

Death in Paradise. OK, it's set in the Caribbean, and it's a British French co-production, but it's very British indeed. I absolutely love it and you can currently watch every single episode on iplayer. New series starts tonight, 9pm BBC1.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/02/2024 18:10

Also, Dad's Army. Seems to be endlessly repeated so you should be able to find some.

Hallelujah2020 · 04/02/2024 18:22

My Family on iplayer

Totally agree. The current vicar just doesn't do it for us.
