Truelove( chanel 4) can't stop thinking about it.

Has anyone watched or is watching Truelove.
Old school friends in their early 70s.. attend a funeral of one of the gang.. then get drunk in pub afterwards and make a pack to help each other with assisted suicide if anyone of them becomes too ill to cope ( like their diseased friend). I thought it was going to be light hearted.. it wasn't.. but somehow l had to binge watch it..
More of a thriller..
Very poignant.
Great well known actors..
But last night l was dreaming about it and it's still on my mind..
Any thoughts on it.. to those who have watched it?.

One first episode. Highly suspect it’ll be binged over the next day or two. Thought provoking so far.

I loved it but felt kinda empty when it was over. Thought about it for a good week afterwards BUT I would love someone to do that for me if I needed it. The acting was excellent.

Well that was a bit of a twist at the end. I so wanted that policewoman to butt out, and get she did make it all so much worse in the end. Even if justice was, in a way served.
first two episodes - so depressing, a bit too near the knuckle. Then it got a bit silly and I just felt sorry for Nigel and Ken. (And the sundry players).

Well, that was an interesting premise and a promising start which descended into utter silliness. Lindsay Duncan, Clarke Peters and Karl Johnson were all excellent but everyone else was straight out of a particularly camp episode of Midsomer Murders (Peter Egan) or one of those cheap, cosy crime BBC daytime dramas (the young police officer). It could have been brilliant if it had stuck to the ramifications of assisted suicide and its effect on the group of old friends but it had to go and become really implausible.
