I enjoyed the later episodes more than the first. But those poor boys. They had a hell of a life.

Fantastic adaptation. The book is semi-autobiographical. Trent Dalton’s mum was an addict who went to prison for dealing. His step-father spent time in jail with the real Slim who did in fact babysit for the author as a child.

Yes i enjoyed it, but couldn't help getting majorly peed off at all the adults 😂😂 even the mum. (Don't want to give spoilers if you haven't watched it all)

Such a good series. I loved the magical realism elements.

This is not my usual thing at all but somehow have become hooked. The little boy is such a great actor. Mullets galore - not a very good advertisement for Australian men though! 😂

It did take me a whole episode to recognise Ragnar though.

I absolutely loved this series, was a bit disappointed that the red phone wasn't explained properly but overall it was brilliant and amazing acting from everyone but especially Eli
