I've fallen into a desperate hole of searching for a new series... but can't seem to find anything! Last night I had a child free evening and spent nearly an hour searching for soemthing but just couldn't find anything 🙈what a waste!

My favourite recent series that I've watched are -

Schitts creek
Emily in Paris
SATC
This is us
Daisy jones and the six
Gavin and Stacey
Royal family
Gossip girl
Suits
Ginny and Georgina
Bridgerton
Never have I ever

So yeah I like really light hearted, romantic and funny (but not friends style funny with the laughing in the background).
I don't like anything remotely scary or about dying or murder.

Can anyone recommend anything? I have Netflix, prime and Disney :)

I really enjoyed Jane the Virgin. It used to be on netflix, but I think ITVx have it available now.

DaisyCat33 · 15/01/2024 09:30

Have you watched 'Love' on Netflix? I really liked that one. Also 'Firefly Lane' on Netflix is excellent too. Oh and 'Sex Education' is hilarious and sweet!

Young Sheldon
New Girl
Gilmore Girls
Parenthood - v similar to This Is Us
Catastrophe
Another vote for Derry Girls, it’s amazing
Motherland
Ted Lasso (think this is only on Apple though)

Zephyry · 15/01/2024 09:39

Deadloch would be perfect, it is a bit of a spoof of a crime drama and so funny. I think it's on Amazon

I don't know if it's on those platforms but would recommend Everything I Know About Love (it's definitely on iPlayer).

mintmagnum3 · 15/01/2024 12:42

Thanks for all the recommendations!
I have watched sex education loved it, forgot to add to my list.

I tried wayching Derry girls but thought it was a bit daft... does it get better?

Has anyone watched vampire diaries? Or is it too dark 🙈 I'm literally like a 5 year old and get freaked out at anything 😂

@mintmagnum3 I'd maybe avoid vampire diaries if you don't like anything at all dark.

Big Boys on channel 4 is good?

Cinders15 · 15/01/2024 14:33

True love on All4 - very good!

Have you seen Just Like That, the follow up to SATC?

Whataretheodds · 15/01/2024 14:56

Bridgerton
The Andrew Davis Pride & Prejudice
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Maybe The Good Wife?

ManchesterLu · 15/01/2024 15:04

Grey's Anatomy on Disney+ is fantastic. I'm binging it so fast!

Whatineed · 15/01/2024 15:06

Do you have sky also OP?

The Gilded Age became my absolute total immersive series. I got completely lost it it every week. The drama, the history, the hats, the costumes... Utterly fab.

I now ONLY want to marry a railway building Robber Baron, who treats me like George treats Bertha.

Well that was last week.... 😂

This week I've finally gotten into Succession, it took a few episodes but now I'm hooked.

Last night I walked around firing everyone in the house, like Logan Roy (Brian Cox), the dog got fired without an exit package, for biting a hole in the cushion. 🤣🤣🤣

I may be slightly over invested in my viewing

jeeperscreeperswheredidyougethosepeepers · 15/01/2024 15:54

Fool me Once on Netflix is getting great reviews.

There aren't many episodes though!

jeeperscreeperswheredidyougethosepeepers · 15/01/2024 15:55

Oops, I've just realised you said you don't like anything scary. It's a thriller!
