9/10 - How Much is Your Dead Body Worth?
With the number of body parts donated to medical science failing to meet demand, US hospitals are being forced to turn to legitimate "tissue brokers" for their corpse-related needs. And with spines going for $989 and forearms weighing in at $383, there's been an unsurprising rise in the number of ne'er-do-wells keen to cash in; not least because, in order to establish oneself as a premium cadaver pedlar, it seems all one needs is "a freezer and a few saws". In a film as gruesome as it is involving, Horizon delves into this strip-lit, poorly regulated netherworld; a desolate place littered with grieving relatives, scooped-out torsos, frustrated medical staff and bags of elbows.
