Amazon Prime Adding Adverts?

Was this a known thing that's coming?

I got the email this morning and don't recall hearing anything about it.

I pay for Prime, but they're putting ads in and want another £2.99 to turn them off?

I don't like that.

I just checked and I ordered 113 items and that's not including all the things my partner will have ordered on the same account

It's quite shocking really but we live in a rural place and I have a 2yo it's not always easy to get out to get little bits so we order A LOT from Amazon, otherwise we'd be paying a lot in delivery fees

Ah see I'm quite stubborn and refuse to pay for delivery so just keep adding to basket til it qualifies for free delivery. If you and your husband log into the same account it does make a huge difference. But I don't live rurally so can always access anything I need urgently which also helps more obviously!

Wow just read some people are having 200 deliveries a year. That's lots of stuff and quite a carbon footprint contribution.

We don't have Prime these days and ordered some items at the weekend fortunately qualifying for free delivery. We ordered at 8pm Friday and it was here by 2pm yesterday. Absolutely no need to pay for prime delivery.

Hey Red just saw your update and can see where you are coming from.

I know many people who use Amazon for almost as many deliveries who live very close to shops and if they got their shit together better could avoid it. But I think they have the mentality that if they pay for it they may as well max it out.
