Saw a similar thread recently but can’t find it now… as a New Year’s resolution I would really like to get more into Shakespeare (I know the basics of most of the plays and more in-depth of a couple studied at school) however trying to just read is so dry!

Looking for either some films or plays that I can access via Sky or streaming platforms that are fairly true to the original format. I think someone mentioned NSC at home but wasn’t sure where to find it? Would particularly like to start with King Lear and Henry V.

apologies if not posted in the right place!

@EveryKneeShallBow thank you, much appreciated, I'll take a look! One small step for 2024... although definitely not a cultural heathen my Shakespeare has always been lacking!

iPlayer has several including As You Like It (1978), Macbeth (1983), and the reasonably recent The Hollow Crown series.
