did catc some of it that should have read...
did some of it makes it sounds like drugs or something

funnyhaha · 16/03/2008 20:57

I can't decide (possibly have missed a few key episodes) if Nic is nasty/evil, or just not coping with three kids & taking it out on George...

CatIsSleepy · 16/03/2008 20:57

aaaargh catch
that's it I'm off

LittleBella · 16/03/2008 21:00

I also don't understand Jennifer's logic in threatening to divorce Brian. At the moment he's wanting to leave a third of the farm to Ruaridh. If they divorced and she got half, he's more likely to leave Roar-y a half isn't he?

Bella - yes absolutely - she's off her head!ind you - if my husband asked me to look after his motherless love child as I entered my retirement years - I'm not sure I'd be a paragon of sense either!

NorthernLurker · 16/03/2008 21:07

'mind you' that should be

margoandjerry · 16/03/2008 21:18

What is the deal with Brian's will? Can anyone explain to me whose farm it is actually and why it will make a difference if Jenny divorces Brian (which she should but that's a whole different story).

I've been listening to the Archers for years and still can't quite work out who is related to who and how. I've only just realised Lilian (Lush) is related to Jenny. Sisters?

LittleBella · 16/03/2008 21:23

LOL

Jenny, Debbie and Adam are furious because Brian wants to leave Roar-y a third of the farm on the offchance that he's interested in farming when he's an adult. Seeing as he's Brian's son and part of the family, I can't really see why they're so outraged - surely it's not that big a deal that he'll want to include his son in his will?

Yes Lilian's Jenny's sister

I don't think Nic is a baddy. She is a single parent with an extra child constantly being left with her for longer than she can cope with. She has never hit or hurt George and usually she's kind. She just gets a bit exasperated with him and every time that happens Ed is magically coincidentally watching.

Can you imagine - every time you ever get slightly annoyed with your child a twist of plot means that your worst enemy is watching you?

jura, super.

littlegrey, nic is EVIL and must be STOPPED. before she passes her driving test.

WendyWeber · 16/03/2008 22:00

NB though, Jack Archer is not the one Peggy's married to now.

I think most of what Nic has done could have been explained away as mere overload, except for the way she reacts when she's caught out.

Will was def reflective after Ed's little outburst though. (Haven't heard tonight's epi yet)

I do love Fallon - she is so cool and was so sensible in the multi-storey.

CatIsSleepy · 16/03/2008 22:20

I think Nick's finest moment was when she was complaining about having no cash and not wanting hand-outs from horrible Will....then promptly asking him for an allowance
actually i can't imagine what she sees in him if it isn't his money

margoandjerry · 18/03/2008 09:19

Thanks for the primer. Tony Archer - now he's another one I can't remember anything about. Also I get him confused with Roy Turner and Mike Tucker and Neil Carter

moodlumthehoodlum · 18/03/2008 21:36

Can anyone advise on the fall out from Ed finding George locked in his room by Nasty Nic?

I'm getting bored with the whole Brian's will scenario. Debbie and Adam aren't even his children, so I really don't get what Jenny's issue is.

moodlumthehoodlum · 18/03/2008 21:40

Margo - Tony Archer is Peggy's son and Jennifer's (and therefore Lilian the Lush's) sister. He came to blows with Brian last year over Roooooarrry but doesn't want Pat to go ahead with any complaint against the anaerobic digester. Peggy was an archer because (and correct me if I'm wrong or this has been done already) she married a wrong 'un who was Phil Archer's brother, and who ran the Bull. He ran off and eventually many moons later, Peggy married Jack. Who is rich but sadly, bonkers now.

Oh lovely Archers fans! Please keep talking!

Seeing as Kate and Alice have apparently been made generous, non-farm-related provision in loathsome Brian's will, why couldn't he do the same for Ruariarahidh? Why did it have to be the farm? He should be fair to all his kids, but this doesn't seem very fair to me.

But then I do really hate Brian. Why would anyone have an affair with him. I can just pictur his stupid posh face. GRR!

Lilymaid · 21/03/2008 17:54

Can anyone explain why Brian's two daughters (Kate and Alice) are not included in the farm settlement but Myson is?

Why haven't they got some child-care that they pay for?

Nic could set up as a childminder, then she'd have her own income...problem solved!

Lilymaid · 22/03/2008 16:02

Moodlum
I don't think that Jack Archer ran off - he drank the Bull dry and died from alcohol related illness.
