Paramount Plus ½ price offer for an annual sub - anything worthwhile watching?

Have just seen Paramount Plus has an offer which ends on 2nd January, for an annual sub at half price.

Does it have anything worthwhile? I took a look an couldn't really see anything. But then I didn't know what half of them were.

Paramount Plus is now half price for a limited time

Paramount Plus is offering a year's subscription for half price until the New Year, which is a total streaming bargain.

Serial killers wife is really good. Just binge watched it. And there's a new Sheridan Smith drama series starts on boxing day

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2023 23:18

Thanks for that. I suppose as it works out at about £3 a month, even if I only watch 1 series a month, it would be worthwhile.

I think they have films as well, and I rarely go out to a cinema say may find somehting there!

There's a lot of really good stuff on there

Blueisacolour · 19/12/2023 05:33

It's great if you like Star Trek! I had it for a while to watch the latest series (Strange New Worlds) which I really enjoyed. Kept it for longer to watch films that I had never seen that weren't available elsewhere.

1883, 1923 and Yellowstone

FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable · 19/12/2023 06:27

I did a trial on Amazon and watched lionesses and mayor of (something I forget) and then couldn’t get into anything els.

BobnLen · 19/12/2023 06:28

A lot of people like Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923, I wasn't so keen on Yellowstone but enjoyed 1883 and 1923. There are some good older series on there like Dexter

BobnLen · 19/12/2023 06:29

If I didn't get it in with Sky Cinema I would probably get this offer as it seems like a good deal

IwantToRetire · 19/12/2023 16:28

I must admit I thought Yellowstone really boring! Sorry.

Have had another look, and can see it has lots of older series I wouldn't mind re-watching.

Though the film section didn't seem that interesting.

And there was some scifi which I like,

I think part of the problem for me is that all the different companies use different ways of listing etc., and I get frustrated by what seems to take hours to find my way around.

So thanks for the responses.

I'm.waiting on a one month deal for P plus to binge watch the new Frasier

YYURYYUCICYYUR4ME · 19/12/2023 16:42

1883, 1923, Bosch, Strange New Worlds, Tulsa King, we enjoyed Babylon, the film, Elementary, Hatfield & McCoys

roseopose · 19/12/2023 16:45

I didn't get into Yellowstone but 1883 and 1933 were really good. Currently watching lawmen bass reeves which is another Taylor Sheridan program. Think yellowjackets is on there too and that's amazing. If I could choose any streaming subscription it would probably be paramount plus tbh, always seem to have good stuff on.

1975wasthebest · 19/12/2023 17:35

I've had it a few times (free trials) and believe that it's one of the worse streaming services out there. Most of the films are from yesteryear and I've seen most god knows how many times. TV shows on there generally don't appeal but Tulsa King was OK and I may get another free trial for Fellow Travellers and the Frasier reboot. They're desperate for subscribers, clearly.

I'm watching The serial killer's wife at the moment and it is quite good, similar to Channel 5 and ITV dramas that are about 4 episodes that sometimes run in the week
