In this series I look at people like Fred and Josie and think why did you go in?
Fred had a fantastic reputation, was well respected etc and didn't need to do the show.
Josie was also doing really well and had finally started to break into being a successful presenter.
I can understand her doing the show maybe 2/3 years ago but now she actually has presenting spot on This Morning and was going places.

I remember years ago Natalie Appleton going in. She had a really cool reputation before entering the jungle and my opinion of her completely changed.

@Delightfuldays "I didn't see any racist abuse against Nella. Where was this?"
(I can't seem to quote a quoted post)

It's all over social media and it's hideous.

Delightfuldays · 06/12/2023 15:33

The only racist tweets I could find were from Nella Rose herself when she insults Somalian Women and admits that she used to be 'anti black'.

I remember a few years ago when Martin Roberts from Homes under the Hammer was on it and he came across as such a total and utter knob everyone thought he would surely never be able to show his face on TV again. But he was back at the day job afterwards and everyone has forgotten.

I've watched every single episode of I'm a Celeb since the first series and I can't even remember the majority of people who were on it, let alone whether they did something awful.

JaneJeffer · 06/12/2023 19:28

Martin was not a knob. I really liked him.

blackfluffycat · 08/12/2023 07:00

Fred's made him self look like a nob. Nothing major but embarrassing.

sashagabadon · 08/12/2023 07:21

I watch the show but had no idea these three had ruined their reputations! I like/ liked all of them. Must be me 🤣

PostmansKnock · 08/12/2023 07:26

I think Fred came over as a sophisticated man before I'm a Celebrity. Kind, trustworthy and thoughtful. Now he seems petty and childish.

I can't see how Josie has come across as anything but nice and even ordinary. She was very patient with Fred when he belittled her and her cooking. She just seems lovely to me.

Fred on the other hand... he had a bit of mystery about him, now he comes across as patronising and a bit of a mysogynist. (Women's cooking awful... the men cooking... delicious)

As for Nigel yuk. He's just playing a game as he always does. Jog on Nige... this isn;t going to make you a nice person.

TodayInahurry · 08/12/2023 07:38

Nigel has done brilliantly, he is far more intelligent and determined than the others.

even the people voting for him think he will not win as ITV will fix the votes!

Mamette · 08/12/2023 09:23

I haven’t seen Josie do anything wrong.

Moveoverdarlin · 08/12/2023 09:28

I think ITV want to push Josie to the forefront of This Morning, I think she went on to get acceptance from the wider public, so she’s regarded as a nice, bubbly girl and not an ex- Big Brother contestant.

Fred went on for money, he was a bit arrogant and bossy, but nothing that will affect his work or reputation.

i jsut read an article from sam's mum,
she really believes he is an 8 year old kid by the sound of things, how he likes to pick up and carry sticks!
