Repeat of Series 2 is starting on BBC2 at 11.55 tonight. I urge everyone who likes anything that's good to watch it.

Or better still tape it and watch it tomorrow.

This was one of the most underrated shows i've ever known - i loved it!! Such a shame it got cancelled after the third series but apparently they are planning a film!

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 13:36

Yes, moosmummy. My sentiments exactly. Didn't know about the film though - that is very exciting news.

oh it is the absolute best thing on tv. i loved it when they all went mad at the end and held save our bluth fundraisers...

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 13:48

Yes! It is the best thing on TV. But who would know? Did the BBC do anything to promote it?

I just chanced upon it one night and watched it for about 10 minutes because there was nothing else on before realising that it genius.

It is great. Everyone must watch.

did the bbc do anything to promote seinfeld? curb? larry sanders? the bbc is fucked in the head when it comes to the best comedy in the world, for some reason.

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 20/03/2008 13:55

DH and I loved it, brilliant. I love Jason Bateman

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 14:04

YES, Aitch, exactly. It is bizarre.

Dances, I love them all, but I think that Liza Minelli might be my favourite.

Aitch · 20/03/2008 14:10

she is MAGNIFICENT in it, isn't she? what a brilliant star that woman is. i think it's impossible to pick the best one, me and dh used to try and then George Michael woudl come on and it'd be him, then lucille one, then the dad, then the nevernude uncle, then GOB! All of them were fantastic.

TheFallenMadonna · 20/03/2008 14:12

It's fabulous.

The only thing that worries me is that when I see Jason Bateman, I think of Teenwolf, but Teenwolf was Michael J Fox, no? Or am I totallymixing up my 1980s teen comedies?

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 20/03/2008 14:13

I'm not sure which series we watched. The last episode we saw GM and M kissed (initials in case someone who hasn't watched it doesn't want to know) - is that the 2nd series?

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 14:15

Ah, Tobias the nevernude.

You are right, it is impossible to decide.

OP posts:
Aitch · 20/03/2008 14:16

fox was in the first film but bateman in the follw ups i think.

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 14:18

Dances, I think that is towards the end of Series 2. You must get them all out on DVD from the beginning.

FM - that was Michael J Fox. Dp is convinced Jason Bateman was in some teen thing from the 80's but we can't work out what it was.

TheFallenMadonna · 20/03/2008 14:19

Ah!

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 14:21

Aitch is right

OP posts:
TheFallenMadonna · 20/03/2008 14:21

I have googled. He was in 'Teenwolf Too' apparently.

TheFallenMadonna · 20/03/2008 14:22

x post IB

IorekByrnison · 20/03/2008 22:15
