Why haven't they just let Fred cook? Did I miss something? He's a chef, at least you'd know you'd get something half decent. I haven't warmed to any of them it's been boring, crap group dynamics.

Because Nella wanted revenge, she said as much. I assume because Fred said he was old enough to be her dad at the start and she had a huge tantrum over nothing.
