Name any show and tell us your favourite episode (and why)!

Ghosts (uk) the one where Alison and Mike have to camp out while the woodworm men fumigate the house. I just think you get the classic and best versions of all the characters. I especially love Pat and Captain helping Alison.

The Good Place the one where they all turn into Janets. So good, and she's such a good actress for nailing them all.

Friends cliche, I know, but the one where no one is ready. Hilarious!

Billions the episode where you think Chuck is crying but he's actually laughing because he's got the better of Axe. Ice juice scandal averted.

Spongeeater · 30/11/2023 19:20

Oops I like it because it wasn't what I expected to happen. I like a good Shock moment.

RedRiverShore4 · 30/11/2023 19:55

The final episode of Six Feet Under because it's a proper ending, how an ending should be

backtowinter · 30/11/2023 20:07

The IT crowd. The episode The Work Outing

Schitts creek. Family Dinner. Just fold in the cheese

Line of Duty. The Dot Cotton escape episode.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 30/11/2023 20:57

The final episode of The Mentalist because it’s the most perfectly concluded series there is - Patrick’s face when he realises what Teresa is trying to tell him.

Buffy - Once More With Feeling. Funny, heart-breaking, brave!

Just watching (on C4) 3rd Rock from the Sun -Alien Hunter. Brilliant!

EveryKneeShallBow · 01/12/2023 12:38

The Fawlty Towers Germans episode, I nearly died choking on some food watching that in the 70s.

Gonksmum · 01/12/2023 14:03

The last episode of This Life in the 90s, especially Warren back from his travels and seeing the carnage, "Outstandin'!"

Gonksmum · 01/12/2023 14:08

Remembered another fave - 1st episode of Series 9 of Peep Show. Love all of it! I especially love Super Hans's juice stag party, Mark and new flat mate watching dvds of Ruskin etc and the Croydon Bullingdon Club. Special mention to " Project Zeus" episode, another hilarious one!

Edited

Oh god I loved this! Paused and reran the Milly whacks Rachel scene over and over.

ichundich · 01/12/2023 14:13

Peep Show - the one where Jez runs over Mummy.

CrossPurposes · 01/12/2023 16:33

The episode from Happy Valley when Catherine rescues Ann.

StarsOnAMat · 01/12/2023 18:34

Red Dwarf Marooned. Majority of it is Rimmer and Lister just talking shite to each other. Thirty years old but still so funny.

NoraLuka · 01/12/2023 18:36

The last episode of Blackadder, right until the end you think they’ll be saved somehow.

Tracker1234 · 01/12/2023 18:40

Friends where Tom Selleck makes his first appearance and definitely the Line of Duty Dot Cotton escape where Kate is hanging onto the lorry chasing him

CarolinaInTheMorning · 01/12/2023 18:47

Frasier: the one where Niles takes off his trousers to iron them and winds up setting Frasier's sofa on fire. Frasier is such a cerebral comedy (which I love), but David Hyde Pierce was a master of slapstick in that episode, and I laugh out loud every time I watch it.

Beachesandcream · 01/12/2023 19:15

Gavin and Stacey 1st Christmas special

SleepingStandingUp · 01/12/2023 19:16

Bluey. The one where she has her baby (doll) to early. Also Baby Race.

ValancyRedfern · 01/12/2023 19:32

Mad Men: The Suitcase. Total TV perfection (but you have to have watched all the preceding episodes to appreciate it fully).

Ghosts: Moona Stone. I laugh just thinking about it.

Buffy: Once More with Feeling

Gavin and Stacey: When Nessa has the baby. The most relatable depiction of childbirth I've seen on TV. I wept buckets. Also the one in the restaurant after the Honeymoon when they all end up in the toilets.

PuttingDownRoots · 01/12/2023 19:37

Dads Army.... they are supposed to be Germans in a training film but everyone things they are actually Germans

MASH... Henry Blake leaving but dying on the way home

Final Blackwater Goes Forth... no words needed

Gall10 · 01/12/2023 19:39

Inside No 9…Bernie Clifton’s Dressing Room, brilliant timing by both actors
Phoenix Nights….the Stars in Their Eyes episode…hysterics every time I watch this and boy I’ve watched it loads!

CesareBorgia · 01/12/2023 19:42

Life on Mars - the first episode, I just love all the bemusement and linguistic misunderstandings ("mobile what") when Sam arrives in 1973. That bloke stepping back in his 70s cut suit as he walks into the office - all so perfectly done (regardless of anachronisms relating to the motorway).

It's so overdue for another series, someone going back from the 2020s (complete with post-Covid vocabulary, social media speak etc.) to the early 1990s would be a perfect follow on from Ashes to Ashes.

Bsmirched · 01/12/2023 19:46

The West Wing: Two Cathedrals.

desperatemum24 · 01/12/2023 19:53

Friends - he's her lobster

Bernie Clifton’s Dressing Room was a beautiful episode.
