I read that the last episode before the Christmas break is on Dec 14th, can’t see where we’re heading with a cliffhanger this year.

it's a bit late, when we know the actress is leaving!

I totally agree! Probably annoying for Wendi Peters too.

Eeek. Catching up with Bear and the financial advisor. If they had money to invest they could be paying the staff! No way would he be making decisions like this without the partners!

Raahh · 14/01/2024 13:33

Bingle I read that- I do hope it leads to something.
It's not enough just to move something like Masterchef there- Doctors was an entire operation, from rookie writers, to actors, locations, local tradespeople- a lot of people have relied on what the show brought to the area.

I think, sadly, we can make a good guess as to why the BBC decided to cancel doctors: women of a certain age, who probably form a large proportion of the audience, simply aren't important enough to them.

The recent episode, though, with Nina's hysteroscopy, shows exactly why this show should carry on. Where else on TV covers this sort of issue? Also goes for many other medical matters!

And every time they have something like Father Brown on straight afterwards, I am all Confused Hmm at the "doctors is too expensive" excuse, as surely doctors is far cheaper to make than something that needs period costumes and makeup and cars and all the other props and locations!

Binglebong · 14/01/2024 20:17

Yes to everything you wrote.

CoatOfArms · 14/01/2024 21:58

Yes but the BBC will see money back from making Father Brown - it'll be on the Britbox streaming service in North America, shown in NZ and Australia. Not so much Doctors.

Has Kirsty been there a year?

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:47

Only a year??

Raahh · 15/01/2024 13:49

It does feel longer- but that means it's a year since Karen died Sad

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:49

Raahh · 15/01/2024 13:50

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:51

The daughter has been giving her cannabis- or cannabis oil?

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:51

Jade has been slipping Clare some weed-filled buns.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:55

Even I knew it was 30/2.

Raahh · 15/01/2024 13:56

I hope she's not going to try to get Suni in trouble.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/01/2024 13:57

How would Suni know what Jade has put in her dosette box?

Raahh · 15/01/2024 13:57

I hate this man.
