New MIC thread 2- still watching?

We just filled a whole thread with MIC tattle! This one’s even shinier and newer than Temps’ gold and diamond birthday bracelet for Liv

Last night’s ep was a bit of a mess in terms of production decisions I thought.
It didn’t really work for the main plot storylines with the main characters talking about things we never see: Ibiza but not showing anyone in Ibiza (nor talking about Temps meeting the Bentley parents etc)
nor showing Tristan in club ‘getting validation from the twos and threes coming up to him’ (lol that was a beautiful Lauren line)
ditto not showing the Princey/Liv chat about her ‘relationship doubts’ which boringly looks to be a key plot point in the next episode.

It was embarrassing nobody except Maeva knowing who Marie Antoinette was. The fucking irony of that on MIC in the middle of a cost of living crisis, and with all of their expensive educations! At least we should have seen Liv in a powdered wig and a farthingale, seeing as she said her theme was inspired by a Kirsten Dunst film with ‘sick costumes’

MIC production also seems to have stopped giving time for any ‘glamorous’ shots of champagnes being poured, shiny cars arriving etc at the start of the scenes that make the programme looks glossy. An atmospheric shot this week followed a woman from behind walking in Chelsea carrying two lumpy overstuffed plastic Harrods carrier bags. Lol.

Liv’s party looked tacky with everyone’s hired costume shop outfits looking stagey and ignorant of the theme and everyone immediately going straight for each other’s throats.

No banter in there either about their ridiculous costumes which was an open goal. It really exposes the poor writing quality when the humour is lacking and the shine has been taken off the production values. We already have YouTube for people who want a platform to launch themselves and promote their products. MIC is meant to be at least a small step up from that..

I desperately want the Liv and Temps love story to be their happy ending!

Yes. They seem to like each other and I like how they refer to themselves as grownups.

I forgot another plot hole- last week Freddie was flipping vegan burgers for Verity and this week he’s just got back from America for long enough for other people to bother asking him about it. And we don’t see the US trip obviously.
Like with Tristan suddenly getting back from Canada the other week. Feels like the time line in the show continuity is out of whack.

On a side note Maeva looked fabulous at her "first" family wedding. Two dresses down and another big day to come.

Temps really is lovely and would make a fantastic boyfriend but I think Liv too easily swayed by what everyone else thinks and heavens do they have a lot to say.
I always liked Tristan but he's become SO arrogant and glad Lauren tore him to pieces. (She also has the highest opinion of herself)
Freddy is quite lovely (bit like a really young Jamie!) and properly Chelsea!
I kept thinking it's run its course as a show but somehow I just keep watching.......

Catch up time! I've reached the countryside Lake episode.

Yay is so infuriating! After the way she treated Inga (her so called friends) she doesn't have a leg to stand on!
Ruby and Miles are awful stirrers.

Was Inga really lying to Liv? She sounded very sincere when she talked about the events of the night.
If Sam is stirring, he's really thrown Inga under the bus.

I just don't get why they're even talking. She's so much better than that!

Temps still grates though. He was really pass aggressive with Imogen, and really messed with her.

Checking in. Just seen the latest episode and feel very sorry for Temps. Remember the outfit and hair planning from the Caggie and Millie days was far more glam!

Liv really needs to stay single for a bit and then maybe date outside the group! Felt so sad for Temps, so awful in front of everyone. He's great (though do think it was never going to work long term). Lauren actually slightly less annoying last night!

Who knew that MIC could be made hilarious by adding a random Australian guy to attend the dinner party arguments and deliver occasional baffled observations about the weird friendship dynamics.

Ok I am not penultimate episode and Yaz is hideous!
She's played the victim over the Sam/Inga thing, then stirs big time over Lauren and Tristan... takes a lot to make me feel sympathetic towards Lauren...

I felt bereft after Monday night’s episode. Poor Temps. I did like Liv and Tristram having each others backs though.

Liv is a complete mess. She does this time after time confesses to being 'in love with (pick a name)', then a week later tell everyone except the person involved she's not sure.
For goodness sake leave the men alone, sort yourself out and stop this stupid false crying.

Oh crikey! Poor Temps. I felt sorry for him he seemed so genuine. Can’t understand Livs thinking really. I mean it’s all fine to change your mind but she so suddenly went off ‘David’ after he started treating her nicely and a bit girlfriendy. Think she needs a bit of time to work on herself, like she said.

Lauren I am warming to but Tristan I have massively gone off. He’s no prize.

It’s so wierd how old characters ‘die’ in MiC. You can’t even mention Inga, not even at Sam’s apology party. Gorgeous Willow has just been binned with no exit line at all. Yet Tiff and Emily seem to pop up contractually and totally outside any story etc, every few eps. What’s happening there- are they paying MiC a retainer to shoehorn them back in? So many questions.

Miles suddenly seeming a really nice mate is nice. He’s being nice to Temps at a good time to do it.

And so much for Freddie's folks not supporting him! I very much doubt he could afford America after flipping burgers for all of 5 minutes!

Liv always walks. He may not have been right for her but she seems quite emotional

Agree re fake crying. It seems to work though, so many rushing to protect her

Not overjoyed at Tiff and Emily back on, both annoying

She's relatively wise and emotionally intelligent in everyone else's lives. But not when it comes to her own.

Not so convinced about the “we’re only friends” secret meet up. Clearly designed for a weeks drama in the absence of anything meaningful.

Nicole is formidable! I’ve never seen Liv put in her place like that even by Maeva.
And Ruby ..you’d hate it if your boyfriend stayed close to his ex. So don’t do it to Bella.
