Morning all - just marking my place on the new thread. Haven’t been able to watch any tennis lately as work is still manic so still relying on this thread to keep me up to date with the important stuff!

Jane . I make sure I keep my dog up to day on my tennis rants. He hasn't been well, and our walks have had to be shortened quite a bit. I think he is very relieved .

Still annoyed that Djok has made it through. I hope whoever plays him next is on top form.

I am trying to get my head around the permutations of who needs to win what now- If Daniil goes through top ogf his group , he plays the second in the other - so Djok. I can't decide who currenty stands the best chance against him- but going off the crowd reactions , I think in a Daniil /Djok contest, the crowd may favour Daniil. And whoever goes forward- needs to beat Djok.

Carlos has been a bit shaky lately. Sascha has been improving a lot, and seems to come into him own in the tour finals- so an outside chance if he plays him. I think poor puppy Andrey is out already.

Speaking of which, the ATP posted a video of all the players playing a 'spin the wheel' game- where they had to decide which description fit each player (and all agree). 'Most likely to cry after a match- lose or win'- was Andrey, unsurprisingly. He was very honest about it (though Danill picked Djok first ).

I've just switched on, the crowd seemed a bit quiet when Daniil came out, but were a bit more cheery for Carlos. Hard to tell, there is so much noise there

Carlos up by a break in the first set. I want him to win so that he and Daniil qualify from this group. I think if Carlos wins in 2 sets he will top the group, not sure if it goes to 3.

Ice no, it's a bit of a change to the other day - Carlos is playing better, and Daniil is taking time to settle. Odd- when really, he is the one with less to lose.

Maybe he would rather play Djok than against crowd that would be very pro- Sinner ?

Just started watching Carlos vs Daniil but not sure how long I can last with these two fuckwits commentating. Wtf are they waffling on about I wish someone would pull the plug on them.

I've just put it on but I'm being distracted by roadworks outside. What an exciting life I have.

kazza I am now score watching in the car and grateful not to be listening. The commentary has been terrible all week. I just about cope with Nick Lester and Laura Robson( til they get Greg involved).
