THE WOMAN WHO STOPS TRAFFIC

Has anyone been watching this? Last week Kris Murrin attempted to make Boston 'car free' for the day. She did well in the fact that she managed to get the parents on a particularly large estate to walk their children to school instead of driving - it did however involve a lot of convincing on Kris's part. The maddening thing was that it took the parents 40 minutes to drive there and back to the school (as parking was also a problem) and only 10 minutes to walk there!!!
This weeks is the final episode and Kris takes on Durham. This in itself should be quite a challenge as Durham has the largest traffic increase in the north-east over the last decade.

Interesting - and exciting cos I was brought up on Newton Hall and she's just been talking from very close to where I went to school. It's so easy to get into Durham on the bus from there, not sure why you'd take the car on a day to day basis, unless the bus service isn't as good as it used to be.
