I don't think Karen should take the blame, Ken was the one who blurted out Albie had been taken and then the two of them cooked up the ridiculous story to get the ransom money. I've never understood what Sharon sees in him, she's a successful business woman of 50 who knows her own mind and he's just a silly kid yet she's constantly all doe-eyed around him. I can't wait for her to tell him Phil is Albie's father, the only other person who knows is Zack and he isn't going to tell.

If Sharon was a man, her and Keanu would be nothing unusual. Plenty of middle-aged men and much older with a beautiful 20 something. If that's what she wants why not?

I don’t blame her at all for being with him - he’s very sexy even when he’s being a tool. I think there’s way too much made of big age differences in relationships on MN. I know some people on the EE threads have in the past described their coupling as ‘a bit grim’ which is ridiculous.

I have never seen the Sharon/Keanu attraction. He might be easy on the eye/ have a magic penis but isn't clever, witty, funny, driven.... He's a a wet blanket. Realistically, you might understand Sharon being initially flattered by the attention and having a fling but there isn't the making of a long term relationship there.
I can understand Karen wanting to protect her son, but this is going to come at the expense of all the other children. Going on the run with a large family isn't feasible (or good for the kids), what about the kids that live with their dad? 50 grand will not last long, what do they do then? Would she even be able to take the grandkids away , to for example live in Germany with Keegan, without Gray's approval? Does he still have PR?

Strangely enough, I don't remember this amount of hatred towards males that kidnap children. Phil kidnapped Raymond, Shaun kidnapped Amy and nearly killed her on a frozen lake, I think Kush kidnapped Arthur at some point.... I don't think there was as much backlash on them and their family as there seems to be on Karen.
