Sorry if there's already a thread on this - just wondering if anyone else is watching on BBC4/Iplayer? I watched this as a teenager and it's really interesting to see it again. Set in Manchester during Thatcher years, with a New Order soundtrack (which is really why I tuned in, to hear the theme tune again, then got watching it!)

It's on my list of things to watch - I also watched it as a teenager and remember quite a bit of it, really enjoyed it first time round.

Thanks, I didn't know this was on iPlayer! I really loved it when it was on first tie around.
It's interesting to think that I was the same age as my DC when I saw it originally.

I’m watching and I’m halfway through the last series. I had fond memories of it and wanted to watch again but it wasn’t available to stream until recently. I’m enjoying it and comparing how much I remembered from watching it first time round - not much at all!

it’s not aged very well in lots of ways and a lot of characters seem to have had personality changes half way through. Plus how many times was the factory about to go under and amidst it all some of the women leave and then decide to come back - Carol May and Jill. The men are all thoroughly useless and unlikeable and the women all strong.

I’m going to finish watching but it did get ridiculous along the way and less gritty and true to life. It’s funny to see how much things have changed since the late 80s and how dated it looks in places.

I'm watching! I remember it first time around. I'm on series 3 now and it's become more and more ridiculous.

Great cast of interesting women though.
