I’m looking forward to Layton’s dance on Saturday. It should be amazing.

I am hoping that Annabel pulls a rabbit out of the hat because I suspect that the SCD experience is helping her and I’d like her to experience Blackpool. She is not my overall winner but I think she has a bit more to offer, I genuinely enjoyed watching her last time. Hopefully her fitness and training regime experience is standing her in good stead.

Vito and Ellie make a super couple if it’s true. I hope so!

If Layton manages to restrain himself from making those awful theatrical gestures, the AT with Nikita could be brilliant.

Was that the same year that Darcy Bussell was on her last year as a judge and did the tour? Darcy and Shirley were the highlight of the tour for me that year.

@HoopLaLah Darcey Bussell was definitely there so it probably was. It was 2018 and I just googled it, Stacey Dooley won that year. But Joe and Dianne won when we saw it live.

I'm just rewatching again tonight. He was wearing a poppy and it comes off when he does the first lift with Lauren.

Zara Larsson is a very well known singer. She sang the Symphony song that Rose and Gio did their "silent moment" dance to, for one thing!!

She's also done "lush life", "girls like" with Tinie Tempah and "ruin my life" which have all been big hits.
She's sang with David Guetta and John Legend.

She also sang that live on Saturday, which can't be easy in front of a huge tv audience.

Seems some folk are just jealous of good looking, talented, and wealthy young women.

I've seen Shirley live too and she was truly incredible. Mesmerising, with such control and yet expressing such emotion.

I know she has her favourites and can be very biased but she certainly knows her stuff.

I feel like she's pulled Craig RH up a couple of times this season on the knowledge of the dances - she talked about how Paso was a "marching dance" when he said someone was marchy. And there was a comment on Saturday about being allowed to lift feet (Nigel?) and then a comment about being in a British final 17 times or something.

Lauren has a very cute video on her Instagram today of her and Vito singing while Krishnan plays guitar and Ellie dances. Vito has a pretty good voice. Lauren is an amazing singer.

High hopes to see what they can do
in that genre. Once I knew they were both in suits I relaxed.

Ellie and Vito still have the AT to dance, don't they? I've just watched CaveMum's video on the other thread of a smoking hot AT and would love to see them do something like that! 🔥🔥🔥

She'll need to get a bit sexy for a Shakira samba and I'm not sure she'll be able to let loose and produce that, I'd love to see it though so I hope I'm wrong!

The AT was originally danced by two men together, wasn't it? So Layton and Nikita are going trad. It could be really something.
I just listened to Shirley on Grace Dent's Comfort Eating. Anyone else heard it? She's a complicated character: a tough nut, a bit of a hustler, not modest about her achievements (I don't say that as a put-down), but hugely sentimental too, and with what sounds like a somewhat difficult relationship with food and body image.

Yes, I’m excited to see a traditional male AT from Layton and Nikita. A brilliant one will probably get my vote.

I’ve been underwhelmed so far by the ATs, I think they do them much too early and would like it to go back to the first year they included the dance on Strictly, when it was just the semi-finalists who got to do it (plus one other dance).

I'm also pleased/relieved they'll both be in suits.
