Anyone else watching? It’s on YouTube. As Autumnwatch was canceled, Chris Packham has filmed this.
Was watching live on YouTube ten thousand watching. I think that’s pretty good.

Oh I didn’t know Autumnwatch was cancelled. Why on Earth have they done that? Anyway, thanks for sharing this alternative.

Yes, Autumnwatch cancelled. Not enough viewers.

Me too. He’s definitely more political.
Was/is a very professional show.
Enjoyed the seeing Nick Baker.
I’m really impressed with how many people watched live. I enjoyed the interactive bits, see people comment etc.
Really disappointed BBC cancelled Autumn watch. Don’t believe wasn’t enough viewers.

Just catching up with this now. It's lost a lot of the fluff of the 'Watches', has a more barbed humour (Alan B'Stard style on one occasion!), and you can feel some of their relief at no longer being constrained by BBC impartiality. There's less giggling, more content, more conservation, and more contributions from other naturalists.

I also thought it had better presenters, fewer elongated VOs and has lost the annoying 'mental health' aspect that was starting to grate on the Watches. I watch nature (and nature programmes) specifically to escape from that. And people may complain about nepotism, but Megan McCubbin is a slick, professional and knowledgeable presenter in her own right (better by far than some of those who have appeared on the Watches).

Hope they keep it up. It's a win, for me.
