Didn't Aliona fall out with the producers and leave under a cloud, or something? There were a few rumours about her being difficult and not very well liked as I recall; plus she never managed to hide her displeasure when she was stuck with a duffer.

There's normally a turkey who's popular with audiences but that hasn't really happened this year - people have pretty much gone when they should? Except perhaps Eddie but it wasn't a good dance.

I think Annabel is at risk - she's trailing behind a lot of the others, which is a shame because she seems like such a lovely lady, and I love Jojo! Angela R will be there for a bit I feel. That Charleston was a bit pedestrian - cannot fathom how Craig gave it a 9. But she's fabulous taking her age into account (which the judges shouldn't).

I actually find myself liking Layton though I don't think his level of experience makes for anything akin to a level playing field. He's never going to go out on a dance-off.

I've never really been interested in Nikita in previous series, but jings, this year there's just something about him! 🤗

Aliona probably was a bit prima donnaish, but she was also beautiful and talented and I loved watching her.

Allegedly, Aliona stayed in touch with duffer Tony Jacklin though and played golf with him. Still love her and Harry's Non-tango-according-to-Len to Psycho Killer.

First the zombie gym then the skeleton spa, Graziano has been hampered with theming. Towelography ffs.
I thought it was perhaps Jeepers creepers where did you get those spa-revived peepers? but they didn't make much out of that. Perhaps a good thing as I am not sure how much cucumberography I could take!

Would the judges save the most competent dancer, or would their moral compass lead them to saving Ellie because she’s the one who is more deserving due to her journey?

Or maybe Leyton’s moral compass would lead to him stepping down…

I dont think Layton should step down if he was in the dance off. That wouldn't be fair on anyone.

That said, I really hope Ellie doesn't end up in the dance off with him.

Only really watched the last few series, but how many couples are usually in the final? I remember it being 3, but have worked out that if there is one elimination each week from now on, there will still be 3 couples in the final. So if Amanda hadn't left, would there have needed to be a double-elimination the week before the final? Or would there have been 4 couples in the final? Anyone know how it works? Really should get out more...

I think dance choices are going to start to have an impact now. We will start to see curse of the samba etc. If someone middle of the leader board has a hard dance and those around them have crowd pleasers it could be curtains.

They plan for 4 in the Final but they often lose a contestant due to injury/illness through the series so more often than not there are 3.

I don't recall Aliona in any hideous comedy theme outfits. Maybe she told wardrobe to do one if they ever suggested it and avoided comedy tunes. I wonder how much choice over tunes the couples have

Sara Davies, after dancing with Aljãz, has stayed friends with him and Janette. There were photos on IG of her visiting their new baby.
Nadiya seems to still keep in touch with Dan Walker. They have done charity events together.
Vito is still mates with Fleur East. They both have photos on IG today of them hanging out to celebrate her birthday.
