@notmyoldusername I think because for me, I was raised to understand sex as a biological fact. I am a no more a man than I am white. So, for me, a man saying he feels like a woman and therefore is one, is like a white person saying they feel black and therefore are black, iyswim?
Also, what does it mean for a white person to tell me they feel black? They talk about some pretty superficial stereotypes and it's sometimes quite offensive. Enjoy my people's food and music and fashion, but please don't ask me to accept that you are a black British Jamaican.

And my other concern is about access to a healthy and fulfilling sex life. I'm glad my sex life in my forties is not dependent on any choices I made as a teenager.

I think it is because she's not a man and she very clearly doesn't want to be referred to as a man. It's unnecessary speculation on her identity and her business, as if you know better than she does who she is. Ask yourself if you'd ask that question to her face, and whether you'd picture her being comfortable with it. She already stated in the diary room that she figured she wasn't just a gay man when she was younger.

Her sex life is none of your business. It takes all sorts and especially nowadays, there are plenty of people who will find her attractive no matter what she's got going on down there. But again, none of my business. I feel creepy talking about it.

Factually though she is a man and even after bottom surgery will still be a man and it is not fully clear she understands this. Forced belief and compelled speech can only go so far.
I do like hallie a lot. But she is technically a man.

For example if she were in year 13 at school she must use the disabled or men's toilets and not the girls. Do team sports with the boys etc.

Yes it was very very sad to hear her say she didn't want to have a relationship until after full surgery. She'll never experience sexual satisfaction and maybe even attraction, see jj.

I think it is important for Hallie to be aware of what the sex life of somebody who has surgery would be like. It's no good dismissing reality. I think her mother should not have said what she did.

But Hallie was the person who talked about wanting vagina surgery, on tv, and I don't think it was creepy.

Who cares what she is technically? I disagree - man is a three letter word which along with so many other words, can change meaning and adapt according to the needs of society. I think it's patronising and silly to suggest that she doesn't 'understand' that when she was born she had male sex characteristics. Of course she understands that. She still doesn't want to call herself a man, and neither do I. That's in her past. I want to respect what she is now. She looks like a young woman to me.

Womens safety, dignity and privacy in women’s spaces is being taken away. Women’s places and safety in sports. Autistic children are particularly at risk from being influenced by the ideology. People have lost their jobs for refusing to go along with the delusion in others heads. I could go on...So yeah, it’s affecting others.

I agree with this - I voted for Hallie as I don't like her behaviour - the jail stuff and the task was so annoying!

I love Trish & Im enjoying watching Dylan - think he brings a totally different dynamic to the group although do agree with PP that he might be intimidating to some.

No, I don’t read that paper. I do have real life experience of a ‘trans’ teen in the family. Thankfully now at 19, he has realised he is a man, after his mum sought non affirming therapy for him. I also have an autistic daughter and know many parents of autistic young people currently impacted.

I was responding to other posts on the thread. Of course you want to close down discussion when you don’t like what you’re hearing. 👍
