Just seen the sneak peak and Kerry is kicking off again. This time because Dylan dared to use the disabled shower ahead of her. I have a lot of experience of people like her who get angry at other disabled people using disabled facilities. Their sense of entitlement is so big it prevents them seeing that others are just as entitled to use them. Drives me nuts.

I’ve heard and met lots of scouse people (and love the accent!) and none sound like they’re constantly swilling mouthwash or trying to hack up phlegm with every single word like Paul does 😫 Didn’t intend any offence to scousers btw ❤️

All my votes went on Dylan. He just seems like a grumpy arse and I noticed he says things, waits for a reaction then goes ‘oh I’m joking, it’s banter’ (like he did with Trish regarding food the other day) and I really dislike people who do that.

Tom came across as an absolute prick to Hallie. She is annoying but he definitely did take it too far with her a couple of times. One thing we can say for Hallie is when she’s acted like an arse she does apologise and seems sincere but Tom seemed to just be being nasty to her for the sake of it.

I hope Hallie and Trish stay.

I'm from Liverpool and the way Paul talks grates on my nerves too. Like nails down a blackboard.

How old is Tom? He is a bit bitchy I think, don't mind that if open like hallie but I don't like liars and fakes. He might just be finding his feet though. I don't like the way chanelle, jenkin and Tom think because they are quiet they are better people than the others when they are exactly the same if not worse for bitching.

I think he is about 20, so still young. Jenkin seems miserable all the time. Chanelle has some funny moments but she does bitch behind people’s backs a lot.

So much worse that no housemate corrected him! You'd think everyone would know especially Jordan, Henry, Trish and Kerry being educated adults with grown up jobs. And the rest to be honest, it's on almost every gcse or ks3 syllabus at some point!

Tbf we never did 1984, I’ve never read it. We did Lord of the Bastarding Flies though!

I never studied Lord of the flies but have obviously read every classic book, especially dystopian novels. So I'd really expect anyone over 25 to have read it / watched the TV or movie version/ at least know what it is about or read a synopsis to be able to engage in references.

Particularly if you were going on a programme called big brother! From 1984...

I don’t follow the logic that since you have read them others will have. I read a lot as a child but as an adult with access to the internet, not so much. Unless you count mumsnet.

Not quite caught up on all the episodes yet but I've finally downloaded the app and used my 5 votes on Hallie, I just can't stand the bloody tantrums all the time!

I'm not a fan of Trish, she seems to cause arguments and get offended really easily. No strong feelings about Dylan so don't mind if he stays or goes.

I'm not sure how Paul didn't get put up, he would have been my first nomination. The stupid argument with Noky and Olivia and he flounced off like a tantruming toddler, so aggressive and an absolute wanker.

But big brother comes from 1984, so to go on the show / watch the show surely people would educate themselves on what the phrase means? I think this is the reason most people don't like Paul, he doesn't even try and thinks the intelligent ones are odd for thinking. Same type of thinking. Not for me, kerry does similar, presumably to earn over 50k she is bright but pretends to be quite dim. It's offensive not endearing, I'm clearly a bit like Jordan!

@Boomboom22 i totally disagree and suspect most young people are unaware of the link unless forced to study it.

I've never read the book or seen the film but I've still known about it and the references since I was a teen.

I also studied Lord of the Bastarding Flies. Which, to be fair, was slightly more interesting than The Feckin Go Between.

Kerry has been acting as the house mother the last few days! Comforting them and sticking up for them! Total act. I watched the live stream last night for the first time last night and shan’t bother again. No sound just birds yet they were all together and talking! Did big brother tell them to stop talking about certain things in the past just to keep them on the screen and chatting.

I do find that a pessimistic view of society and hope it is not true.

Good point. I prefer to think most people are educated and playing up.

I've missed the last 2 nights episodes but have been reading along on here and doesn't seem like I've missed anything major?!

I voted to get Trish out cos I just get a bad vibe from her, like she's not as nice as she would have you believe. Seeing a darker side to Dylan too tho. Hallie is annoying me as I really liked her the first week but she is just acting a bit bratty now!

I've been trying to keep an open mind and not judge them too much but I find in getting more and more irritated by some of them now

Haven't seen Yinrun's behaviour of late but doesn't sound too good! I'll see if she remains one of my faves after tonight haha.

Oh god I HATED The Go Between. I didn’t understand the angst. I just wanted to tell the main character to pull themselves together, so you caught them boffing in the shed? So fuck. Grow Up!!

An inspector calls on the other hand was a banger.
