Where has Casualty gone?!

Hasn’t been on for weeks now. When will it come back??!

I just know it's on a break. Not sure when it's back

It usually has a break over the summer. I think they've just done it later this year for some reason.

Probably going the same way as Doctors.

It's the Strictly schedules. Will be back later in the year according to Digital Spy.

I've also read each series will have fewer episodes too.

In the sun today it's been axed for massively reduced..... After they sacked off Doctors due to increased production costs.

I believe it's back around Xmas.

It feels like it is being run down. Weirdly they release teasers for future storylines but schedule no actual episodes.

I agree it's being run down.
Recently there doesn't seem to be outside filming of the accidents etc anymore. Patients just arrive at hospital now.
The cast is now just doctors and nurses. No receptionist, no porter etc.
It's nothing like it used to be sadly.

Oh no. First Holby and now Casualty. I really hope they don’t axe it. It’s one of the few things I actually watch on TV. I still miss Holby City.

I hate to say it but it feels like it's being run down doesn't it.
It's not right that there should be this long break between episodes.

I made a complaint to BBC about Casualty's scheduling. I needed to tell someone!

Not on this Saturday either and they are starting a 8 week Survivor series so not sure when it will fit in to a schedule again,

It really honestly feels like it's just an afterthought now.

Yes. Knowing would be better than not knowing although it's all shit.
The fact they haven't said when makes it look even more like they don't care

I received a response back
It says in line with last year it's taking a break over the autumn in part due to busy schedules
(There was not a break for weeks and weeks like this year was there?)
It seems to say what we already know.

I think if enough people complain about the scheduling it would make a difference.
Ie that the long breaks should be in between each series not like now, in the middle of a series.
That the break between series should be over the summer like it used to be years ago.
(This year series 38 started a week after series 37 and there was no big ending or big bang to come back on)
Anyway I've done my bit that I felt was needed!

They should have said at the end of the last aired episode that they were going to taking a break.

obviously the odd episode gets shunned (remembrance service for example) and that’s fine but this has gone on for ages now and with no explanation.

Lots of filming going on at the moment, DH is an extra in it and has just done a week’s work.

I haven't missed this as such as was always behind

But think last one was Donna being sent down. Which surprised me

Maybe next time it's on it will be 6mths in the future
And she will be out on early release

"Late 2023" was mentioned in a Radio Times interview. Hope we don't get double episodes again, as the storylines rarely relate.

Yes I know everything that's said about it I just don't think it's right how they schedule it all nowadays.
But I've given my feedback to them.
Can only hope they'll take it onboard
