Was pleasantly surprised by Angela R's rhumba. Kai had choreographed it to show off all her strengths.... until the last 10 seconds. WHY on earth did he leave her all alone looking wobbly and uncertain? Took the shine off the whole dance

I must be the only woman in the world who did not get the Mark Ramprakash thing. He was a pretty good dancer, but I found him really fake and superficial, and I never bought the shy guy act. There were rumours after Strictly that he was a total sleaze, and I wasn't surprised at all

I’m now imagining Nigel doing his dance tonight with Gio in Katya’s place….

I thought that too - even when he was getting the judge’s feedback he looked really sad and low. I’m not sure why though??

I am sure everybody knows this already, but I hadn't really thought about how pairings are decided. Apparently they do a sort of speed dancing session to see how everybody fits with each other. So when they did this, did they not notice that Bobby and Dianne do not fit?

Krishnan….well I don’t know, it was just weird. The judges seemed to like it though so they obviously saw something I didn’t 😂

Im sorry to hear about Karen, it must be be very hard for her to get up on that stage when she’s no doubt a little heartbroken and very aware that her private life is available to everyone to read about.

Nigel - oh yes!!!!

I really liked Gio and Amanda too - she seemed really happy with how it went and I like that.

Layton’s level of Ringer is just so irritating. And when he and Nikita were giving such faux disbelief at the 9’s and 10’s I just wanted to turn the TV off. And when Layton said with regards to him and the other contestants, “We are all trying so hard, and me even harder…” or some crap and I just inwardly rolled my eyes. I never thought I would say this….but their reaction to their scores tonight almost made me change my opinion on Nikita - I don’t want to see him start getting cocky considering as the scores are only that high because he’s dancing with someone who is already a trained dancer!!!

I agree with the judge’s comments about Angela S as there was a lot of bouncing.

I don’t find Ellie inspiring at all but I liked seeing Vito’s chest so they’re still worth a mention.

And dear Jody - it’s definitely his time to go. He barely did anything except stand still and let Jowita dance around him.

I found Annabelle quite boring. It wasn’t my idea of what a good jive is about.

I thought Zara looked beautiful and she seems really nice so I am crossing my fingers that she avoids another dance off.

And Angela R - those slots were amazing!!!! I really like Kai and he’s done a great job with her.

Beautiful Bobby - he looked like he needed a cuddle tonight for some reason. He seemed a little sad and withdrawn and it wasn’t nice 😂

I did enjoy the show tonight and am looking forward to the dance-off tomorrow.

My prediction is Jody versus Eddie with Jody to leave.

Bobby's been getting great feedback from the judges and tonight it was a bit less than all positive. He's a kid and will take that to heart more than a more seasoned member of the business. I'm sure he'll be fine by next week, he hasn't learned to mask disappointment/sadness yet.

And it looked as though Diane was in tears as well at the end there when talking to Claudia. Obviously something major going on with one of them.

Diane said that he'd been a rock this week.....

Yeah, I picked up that kind of vibe too. The way she was hugging him and telling him what a rock he had been with tears in her eyes made me think that she’d had a tough week for some reason and that he’d been a great support to her.

Even the way he said “Emotional, the whole week has been emotional.” when Claudia asked him how he felt shows that something has been going on. He just looked so drained.

I thought he was an actor, so I’m sure he knows what he is doing

Just finished watching on catchup. Loved Nigel and Katya. It cheered me up after the rugby 😢

Diane is close to Amy (she was her bridesmaid). Maybe she’s been struggling with that. Although the latter looked very good last week.

I missed the first half so am watching it now. When Zara was talking to Tess, Nancy and Nadiya moved in to put their arms around Dianne. Nancy stood behind D with her arms around her waist.

Re the speed dancing thing.
I am sure we use to see the VT of that in the launch episode when they found out their partners in the studio.

How long have they been doing these " surprise venue " meet ups ?

Nigel's dad is called Derek, hence the middle name.

Rewatched some of the performances, and my favourite was definitely Nigel's.

There does seem to be something going on with Dianne this week which Bobby has been impacted with. He was flat and looked upset and she was clearly crying about something else in Clauditorium and saying he’d been her rock this week.

Karens divorce hit papers so explains her flatness this series maybe. I still think she’s a great pro.

Angela R - I sometimes don’t know if I like her dances because I’m in awe of her legs and flexibility at her age and therefore don’t focus on anything else! Something about her feels a bit off to me.

Angela S and Amanda - not taken to either of them as both seem a little fake and uber competitive (whilst trying to hide it).

Jody - not a dancer. Jowita did the work there.

Krish - love him. Good vibes and improving.

Ellie and Adam - both great esp this week but somehow both a bit unmemorable. It’s not just this week although their early slots won’t have done them any favours this week.

I thought I might have to vote for Krishnan steadily, but he appears to have a considerable fan base for being a trier. I am switching to Eddie for a bit.

I watched rather late on catch up but if I had voted, it would have been for Krishnan's trousers. They were fabulous! And he is fun to watch - more relatable than some of the others.

Personally, I thought that trouser cummerbund combo did his typically Asian physique no favours. I can say that because I am Asian, and married to a Krishnan doppelganger who struggles with his midlife midsection too! DH was like: I feel your pain, Krishnan, at having to squeeze into those trousers.

However, Krishnan sold it brilliantly. His performance skills are great.

He's also getting quite fond of the guyliner...
