Coleen's real women - I am the only one annoyed by this?

Now this show is supposed to promote the inner beauty in us all and let "real women" realise they are beautiful too and I assume pull the break on the fashion's industry use of very young and very skinny girl.

Sounds good in principle. What really really annoys me about this show is that each time they talk of someone who is above a size 10 (usually the said person is size 12 or 14) they refer to "fuller figure" or larger women. Now I thought size 12 or 14 was quite normal in the UK and certainly didn't qualify as "larger" or "fuller". Am I mad?

And despite being supposed to promote real woment they keep making derogatory comments, especially that skinny woman helping Coleen. I couldn't believe it when at the end of the show she said that she was disappointed that they couldn't find a "good" redhead and fulfill the brief. Now I wonder how the beautiful redhead they didn't select because she had "big boobs" felt to know she wasn't "good".

It makes me so cross!!! Am I the only one to find this show very hypocritical?

I know and I hate newspapers saying "ballooned to 12 stone" since when has 12 stone been a balloon

Must be just us though. The thing that annoys me the most is that the show allegedly try to restaure self esteem of normal woment and to me in many respects does the opposite!

It's awful. TV which is supposed to give normal women a boost which just makes them feel unnattractive because they are constantly being compared with real models.

The other day I saw a bit of 'Find me the Face' on BBC 3, where they were looking for a young mother to be part of an ad campaign. The woman who was talent scouting was horrible - she just kept making mean derogatory comments about completely normal looking women. I had to switch off.

Gok is the only one who is good at making real women feel good about themselves.

Meemar, yes I agree with you of all the shows I have seen about "real women" Gok's is the only one that makes you feel uplifted afterwards.

I haven't seen the program on BBC 3 but what makes me laugh is that usually the talent scouts/casting directors who are awful are usually very very plain themselves and far more so than the women they are dissing. Must be a case of envy!

Who exactly is Coleen anyway. A girlfriend? Does she work? Does she have a purpose in life other than to spend someone else's money? Hardly the role model I want for myself or my DD's.
Should'nt be on television or in the papers.

I have no idea as I havent watched the program. I thought it was one of the footballer girls. If it is a Nolan then at least she has a talent. Not picking men though as she was married to Shane Ritchie who is a pratt.

i watched bits of it last night and did find the ohh but shes a 12s can we put through 2 bigger girs?annoying.... can we stretch the challenge or something they kept harping on about ....and i felt sorry for the wonderfully slim yet big bazzookad redheadthey KNEW her boobs were going to be a problem why get her hopes up? ....coleen does seem to be the most down to earth wag ,can down to earth and wag be in same sentence? and she is v attractive with lovely teeth but its all money isnt it?

Did you notice that her scouse accent became more prominen this week because she was in her home town? other shows i have watched her accent has been so bad, i definately think she has had elecution lessons but she reverted back to her old self this week because she was back in Liverpool.

I saw an interview with Jordan in Heat mag (my nieghbour gave it to me,OK?) about her going on Loose Women and talking about how big tits are 'so out of fashion'(er, like they were fashionable once?)now that she's had (some) of her size reduced.

I do find Coleen quite likable though, she seems very down to earth, not up her own arse like some wags.

i also like Gok though he only deals with larger women, there are some of us smaller sizes who also cant dress and lack confidence too. i am a size 8 (though gettiing bigger due to preg) and i still feel insecure about my weight and size.

I'm not annoyed because there is no way on this Earth I would line the pockets of 'celebs' like Coleen by watching her on TV or buying a magazine with her in it.

I think Coleen is sweat enough and bless her you can tell that she believes in the concept of her show. It is more all the other people on the show I don't like, but yes her grammar is appalling (but then so is my spelling
