He’s very cruel and pure dead behind the eyes. I’d love to hear what his ex partner has to say about him.
But Shona probably should have been more carefully vetted before going on the show too, she seems very vulnerable and probably needed therapy before this (she’ll need a hell of a lot now 🙈).

Cheeseandlobster · 08/10/2023 12:10

I really wish people would not post spoilers in titles of threads. 🙄

Me too!!! 😐

PerspiringElizabeth · 08/10/2023 12:11

Tbh the show psychologists can’t have done a very good job to let him get on the show really. Blindly obvious that he’s a toxic fuck! But really I suppose the whole show is pretty toxic.

Also yeah, cheers for the spoiler 😂

Edited

They need a random twat to get the hype machine going don't they .
It's all part of the master plan

LampHat · 08/10/2023 12:22

It’s not really a spoiler though is it. It’s real life news, not part of the storyline.

RosieMilkJug · 08/10/2023 12:26

I know it’s a spoiler but I’m pleased to read it. Brad’s abusive behaviour has “allowed” my concern for Shona to escalate into perplexion as to why the experts and the producers were not doing anything.

TemporarilyshyAF · 08/10/2023 12:27

Thanks for the spoiler!

Notwithstanding, I'll be interested to see what the programme 'experts' have to say about their role in this- safeguarding prior to the programme. I don't think for one minute they're actually the ones researching and selecting participants but they're pretending to do so on behalf of the programme so should show some accountability in public if they insist on maintaining this know it all persona. I am also quite salty about Bianca and JJ as i think she is fragile and set up to be hurt.

It's weird. There's such a high proportion of people who appear manipulative/ sociopathic/ controlling/ dishonest/ empathy free as opposed to just not getting on or clashing personalities. Is it editing, deliberate selection, are more people like that than expected when in a high pressure situation?

Fair point

tenpoundpombear · 08/10/2023 12:30

It's all over the news/gossip pages/socials it's not really a spoiler!

My main worry is that Shona will stay with him and now out of the gaze of the "experts" will be psychologically damaged beyond repair by this so called man.

I sincerely hope they are providing her with adequate support to leave the situation.

A lot of people on the mafs threads avoid the daily mail and similar sites so they do not see spoilers though

Bluetrue · 08/10/2023 13:11

I think they should have let Shona stay and find her someone more suitable?

Brad was scary imo. His eyes ..nothing there but a look that he might harm you.

Avoiding The Daily Mail full stop is good advice

Peachonthebeach · 08/10/2023 14:36

I suspect that Shona would fall ‘in love’ with the next person immediately too, and showing her vulnerability in this way would raise uncomfortable questions for the casting team about why she was selected for MAFS.

Prinnny · 08/10/2023 15:07

I wonder if they’ll let it play out any more on the show or if they’ll just call all the contestants together and tell them Brad and Shona have been removed.

It’s the right thing to do, he chills me to the bone, the creepy reptile looking narc!

Daisyislazy · 08/10/2023 15:35

Good , his behaviour is really concerning

Whiskyinajar · 08/10/2023 15:38

His behaviour was so concerning I am pleased to read this. For those of you bemoaning about "spoilers" get a grip. His behaviour is serious and needed addressing....spoiler or not.

ZebraD · 08/10/2023 15:53

Jeez it’s MAFS not game of thrones…chill people!
I actually was really pleased to see it in the news as I just think his behaviour has been disgusting!
I think all reality tv shows have had a change of tact in terms of looking after people better. I think when Shona watches the show back it will be an eye opener - I hope she can see where it would be appropriate to change her approach in the future!

OP posts:
Neverinamonthofsundays · 08/10/2023 16:44

He is a manipulative arsehole but she needs to do some serious work on herself. She can and will be taken in again and again by gaslighting love bombers like this dweeb and she needs to get a backbone and stop sitting simpering into every mans face that gives her attention.

sunnyviolet · 08/10/2023 16:52

Spoiler is irrelevant to me in this case, I'm just so pleased to hear it. It's actually concerning that such a dangerous individual made it onto the show in the first place - Shona seemed so vulnerable in the beginning, I hate to think about what she's going through after this experience

TemporarilyshyAF · 08/10/2023 17:37

He's now claiming it was a bad edit for drama and people's own fault if they judge him badly. I mean, I'm sure it was selective but he clearly said some pretty prize things in there. The whole group were in accordance with him spreading info about his and Shona's sex life for instance. Doesn't speak well of him if it's everyone's fault but his.

I thought it didn't matter what anyone outside their relationship thought about them? Or was it only Shona who wasn't allowed to be affected by other people's opinions?

He gave me the creeps from the start. The trouble is, there will be women throwing themselves at him even though his nastiness and manipulation has been laid bare.

determinedtomakethiswork · 08/10/2023 22:29

A more truthful edit might have included details of what he has actually told the others. That wouldn't exactly work in his favour.

dapsnotplimsolls · 08/10/2023 22:41

FFS.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 08/10/2023 23:20

I'm glad he's gone, something very dead behind the eyes with him. Just awful.
