Launch show tonight 9:00pm on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX. I understand that housemates actually entered the house last night and that part was recorded.

Broadcasts will be at the same time nightly, followed six nights per week by Late and Live, and then a live stream after that on ITVX.

Masculine looking women just look like masculine looking women. They don’t look like trans women. Tall women I’d often describe as statuesque or Amazonian. Hannah Waddingham I’d say was a good example of all of those things but she most definitely looks female (and 🔥).

She's only 5ft 11 that's not unusually tall but is on TV as even titchy people look really tall.

You can say you are inclusive as much as you want but people seem to bristle at the slightest hint of a trans person. Get a fucking grip, I understand the arguments and trans women are not women, but God its not a good look.

I watched halfway before wandering off, can anyone give a recap of the housemates? In the old days someone would have brought a shaver in for their head, all those permed mullets wouldn’t last past the first eviction (God i miss the 00’s!)

Because the whole bloody program is getting to know people and almost prove / disprove those preconceptions and first impression s. But the casting seems to be taking that to it's extreme with some pretty depressing levels of stereotypes.

Scottish girl singing Donald where's me trousers and the Scouse lad with nudes all over the internet aren't exactly breaking from that.

The whole series has the potential to be a total car crash or utterly contrived bullshit to somehow prove a point. And that bothers me because it's certainly not back to Big Brother roots in that respect.

The C5 series bombed for a reason: casting and production and the characters just not being natural or particularly likeable.

I'm a massive BB fan but I do feel we've already just got a clichéd stereotyped farce. And without too much production interference. And it's Day 1.

The investment on the set, production and rights isn't small. For this to be a success it's going to need to pull in a new young audience, but it will also need a fair number of the die hards onboard.

It's feeling forced and almost like we've got test going on from the start. I can't help but feel it doesn't bode well.

I don't think either presenter have it in them to present big brother!
Davina was great and I think Emma Willis brought a similar energy, she happily admitted to loving BB and it showed. (I will kindly forget Brian Dowling in the middle, it's for the best)

Rylan should have been the natural choice.
AJ is a really over the top, almost fake presenter in my opinion. Will at least had a bit more warmth but still too wooden.

The contestants were always going to bring opinions and I think that's the point of a random mix, I'm going to hold off a few episodes till they've settled a bit.
Fingers crossed they lay off the love island editing that seemed to creep in with the slow motion shots.
Should definitely have kept it a live launch, definitely not going to have the same feel being on ITV, it will be over edited and all the good stuff watered down for fear of damaging reputation and offending anyone.
