Simone Biles is just amazing!!

She really is!

I loved the way she smiled at herself when she tripped! She looks likes she's really enjoying it and she's so smiley 😃

She's fab! Her floor routine in the team was awesome.
Was watching earlier with dd till she insisted on Lemony Snicket. Will catch up later.

She is awesome. British girls did well by the looks of it.

Me! I was in tears at the end of it. I was also so happy for Alice - she didn’t even have a warm up. The British team are amazing. Just wish the press weren’t so obsessed with Max and Jess.

It has been stunning! I love watching gymnastics even though I never enjoyed it at school. The athletes abilities always amaze me

yes! I've been watching all week. She is incredbile. I started following her again earlier in the summer at her first competitions back, and there was no doubt in my mind that she would be back storming the international competition as well.

So many good athletes from different countries now too. I know a few train in the US but compete elsewhere, but also some countries that have their own programs are producing some really amazing up and coming gymnasts. And how well done for Brazil at last in the team, and Rebeca in the final!

I also like that there really aren't little girls. There are powerful strong women, in their 20s and even 30s, really athletic.

Yes, I like that too. And that they are all so different physically yet all so amazing. I’m looking forward to the apparatus finals over the weekend, what do you think about the men?

In terms of their chances for medals!

I enoyed the final. Simone was fabulous, but showed that she wasn't perfect, and yet could laugh about it. I really like Rebeca and glad she got a couple of good medals, but that Simone still did what Simone does today. They seemed to have such good camaraderie and she is so supportive of all the others. I think there are some good up and coming contenders from China and other countries though! Shame Jessica wasn't in it. I have nothing against Alice, but she never quite seems consistent enough to win big. Not sure why she was so low today, something about a spin not counting and an enquiry being put in, but they didn't announce the results of that, so I'm guessing it didn't change.

Fantastic for Jake for the vault. But apart from that, I didn't really know much about men's gymnastics so didn't pay too much attention other than noting as always how super humanly strong they look.

I've been watching it on catch up. Many of the athletes have been amazing. She is something special though. My 4 year old is heading towards being her biggest fan!

Yes so many of the others are amazing too, especially on individual pieces, so I think she will have to work to stay on top with as many event finals, but for the all around, she is incredible, just so solid and consistent at everything. And enjoying it all so much. Sometimes competitions get a bit boring when the lead competitor is so far out in front, but she is so special to watch that it doesn't really happen here - plus in gymnastics there is always every chance of a total upset to keep things spicy. But I love how everyone is rooting for her comeback after all she's been through. Looking forward to seeing who makes it to the Olympics, and how much improvement some of the younger competitors could make by then.

Do miss the Russian gymnasts though, understand of course why they can’t compete but feel sorry for them individually.

It's a shame that all the streams used the same feed from Antwerp, and have no control over who is shown or what camera angles or anything, and the commentators are just back in Britain commenting on what they see on the screen. I'd quite like it if they were there, had BBC cameras, could choose the best angles and get different coverage as they chose.

But I am grateful that it was all on there. I watched some of the qualifications online with no commentary, and it was pretty hard for me to tell anything about what was good or bad really, not knowing the technical stuff. I followed the scores online and read blogs or twitter to get an idea, but so much depends on what exactly is in the code and what the deductions are for etc, and as a lay observer, it's hard to tell. So it's nice to have all the finals at least on BBC.
