I find Bobbie quite odd in interviews. I can't decide if he's just really laid back or whether it takes him time to process a question.

For one brief, awful second I thought we were getting a reprise of Nell de Jaunse there. Thank god the producers aren't quite that incapable of recognising a turkey.

Agree about Dianne and Bobby.

Bobby to me seems lost. Like he's suddenly thinking wtf am I doing. I don't think he'll last as long as people might have expected with the whole fanfare of having just won the TV prize wotsit and being Jade Goody's son.

I was just beginning to relax, believing that "character" to have been consigned to history. A worrying moment.

I think Bobby seems quite humble actually. He was very self-deprecating last night on ITT.

I have to say I hadn't heard of him before Strictly but he seems like a nice guy and I do think he has more talent than quite a few of the celebrities on the show 🕺💃

I just don't understand the producers sometimes. He's currently in EastEnders, young, good looking, might draw lots of teenage girls in to watch, middle-aged mums might vote for him because they remember Jade Goody etc... I presume they're keen for him to do well.

So why pair him with somebody where dancing ballroom is actually going to be really hard because their hips are nowhere near the same height?

I'm not a big fan of Dianne but I cant really put my finger on why. She just seems a bit... I don't know, trying too hard to appear childlike? She's 34 but she comes across like a 16 year old. Some of the things they dress her in don't help.

I also think she's the weakest dancer. I'm always surprised that she gets so many feature roles in the pro dances.

Yes, or why she's paired every year with a sleb and some, like Luba, aren't.

I was on the fence about Bobby before the series started. I knew who his parents were but was otherwise unfamiliar with him. I thought he came across as quite sweet in the pre-series publicity but am now finding the cheeky chappy 'Wossa foxtrot?' stuff and the partnership with Dianne a bit irksome. I'm not one of those viewers who dislikes Dianne but 'Dianne and the cute young guy, doing cute young routines' has been done to death. If he'd been partnered with height-appropriate Nadiya it might have given him a bit of edge or verve; more Mick Jagger in Performance and less Tommy Steele in, well, any Tommy Steele film.
